Veterans Legal Institute is an amazing resource for veterans- they help veterans overcome homelessness and get jobs by providing free legal services. It’s amazing to be able to have a free attorney advocate on a vet’s behalf!

One of the best charities in Orange County. Veterans do so much for us and this nonprofit does so much for them in return to ensure they are treated with the respect they deserve.
amazing resources fir veterans, super super uplifting experience that I charished, a feeling of being restored closure and resolution. confident staff who are good at listening and providing articulate feedback to the best solution, feel free to ask questions and I don't see why anyone would not give this establishment non profit 5 FIVE STARS, unless that individual is not a positive person.

Vets Legal deserves the highest recognition possible for supporting Veteran's in matters concerning law suits. My brother is a veteran, sued by a nursing home when he came home to live with family after 4 years of decline in the facility. However, not only did the nursing home sue my brother, they sued me too! This was a catastrophic attack, had we lost, it would have cost thousands of dollars neither my brother or I had. However, by the grace of God, Attorney Ian Deady from Veterans Legal Institute, took the case at no cost. He communicated with opposing counsel and quickly resolved the issue. Ian's research and dedication led to a settlement and resolution in a very short period of time that was a major blessing for my brother and me too! Thank you so much Vets Legal!!

They have excellent services for women veterans. There is a women veterans clinic where you can speak with a female attorney in a safe place. Most if not all of their attorneys are well-versed in MST issues and other issues related to women veterans and the founder is a female. Services were quick and free. This is an amazing resource for veterans and I am very happy with the services.

To me my case is complicated, full of different parts and twists and turns. A good lawyer can quickly read between the lines and Ian, staff attorney, has proven he can do that. It's impressive how his mind works and the amt of knowledge he has. I'm grateful to have him on my side.

Don't ask VLI for help! I received awful service!
They sent me a four pages nasty letter telling me how they believe the other parties. They know that there is more than enough evidence that supports my story.

Ian and his team worked my appeals case for PTSD. I had been turned down for PTSD/MST through the VA Disability rating system twice already and was loosing hope in the system completely. A family member put me in touch with Ian through a series of contacts. After meeting with Ian, he felt confident that he would succeed. Well, He did! He got my case approved at appeal and it moved forward and was granted back... 7 years to when the disability application was first submitted... After getting through that, he assisted me with the paperwork for an increase on another disability I was already rated on. From the time he filed the paperwork to the approval, it was less than 2 months! This guy knows his stuff and is an amazing resource. If you need help with your VA claims... these are the people you want on your side!

This is an incredible nonprofit that provides free legal to low income veterans on a shoe string budget! It’s amazing how lawyers can change lives for the better. The staff is incredibly passionate and it’s obvious that they love what they do.

What a great organization this group is. Answering the call of duty for our service members and helping Vets gain access to legal care they so desperately need. It's rare to find an organization driven only by purpose and desire. Veterans Legal Institute embodies that

Oop!! Totally wrote the wrong review for this office! The review was meant for The Bob Hope VSO and completely opposite of an experience with the Veteeans Legal Institite. Ian, the attorney I met with, was absolutely great. He was super helpful and very very knowledgeable. I wish I'd found out about this place years ago. Luckily they had representation at the VA through a monthly legal clinic. I'm pretty sure that his services are pro bono, or close to, so that shows how good of a lawyer and outright person he is. I can't give the VLI enough credit.

Didn't do anything to assist me and my family during an retaliatory eviction, lost my hud vash voucher, all of our property and lost our home. And have been homeless for 14 months.
So unless its a simple case , like losing a beret they won't do much to assist you.
We lost everything I had...... And we shouldn't have. Its sad when the system you have faith in and willing to die for turns its back on you because you are too poor to find legal help, not because you are a bad person , but because you are disabled from injuries sustained preserving our freedoms and democracy.
The same freedoms illegal immigrants recieve
As a disabled veteran unable to work , fighting for disability, to feed my family and get off the streets, I would at least the same rights and privileges as those illegally in this country.
My age and health , I will die on the streets of Orange County, just another statistic, just another forgotten homeless veteran, and VLI had the power to help but was to busy to help.
Thank you everyone for just standing , watching, and doing nothing as I begged for help and assistance, thank you to those who could have thrown a life line, but instead just watched us drown, and suffer needlessly.
I hope the few bucks you made of the backs of dying veterans is worth.
So my point is good luck.

Attorney's who are military veterans help serve our low income or homeless veterans with legal aspects unique to their situations such as divorce, custody, visitation, child support etc...matters, and even at pro bono at times.

Went here for assistance, VLI was unable to help for whatever reason. If you have an issue you need help with, make sure its a very simple one.(like getting you hat back) otherwise you won't get any type of assistance.
