I had just closed on my new home mortgage - 3 months of lost paperwork, unanswered calls, and shifting personnel. When I was in a moderately severe car accident, my biggest worry was - would i have to send even more faxes? How many more weekends would I sit wondering what would happen with my future and finances? Everything i had heard about personal injury attorneys made me brace for the worst.
Well, I didn't get any horror stories for me to trade around the water cooler. I received punctual communication, appointments with chiropractors and specialists at no out-of-pocket, a settlement far more than I was expecting, and a great experience with genuine people. I hope you never have to deal with an auto accident or other injury - but if God forbid, something happens, I cannot reccommend Silverthorne Attorneys strongly enough.

Oh yes this is the absolute truth. Arrogant little creep
It was my fist car accident. They told me "no" and refused to deal with me anymore. I didn't know an insurance company had the right to do that. I was in complete dispair. There was a 3 car pile up on the 5 and we were rear ended. I just figured I'll let my insurance handle everything, after all a commercial vehicle ran into us, regardless I'll be covered. My insurance informs me to deal with the at fault drivers insurance- Liberty Mutual. I had my 3 kids with me during the accident. Liberty Mutual immediately sent me a check for the car seat and the repair fees, along with a rental. Wow this is great so far. Liberty mutual has another department for injuries. The guy told me just go get medical treatment and save all receipts. After my oldest had to drop out of dance due to back injuries and she went through depression for not being able to dance and enjoy life as a teen, she also gained weight from pain. I too, experienced the same. Sadly, I have an autistic daughter. Also in the car, who I care for mentally and physically. After a year of treatment for my and my daughters, including endless restless nights and crying and not being able to be the mom that I was, Liberty Mutual denied all my medical claims for me and my children. I was devastated. I had used my credit cards to pay for all my medical bills, thinking I'd just be reimbursed. I wasn't even asking for pain and suffering, just reimbursement. They told me "NO!" We don't feel you or your daughters needed all that medical treatment. Because these days they make bumpers so safe, not a lot of damage showed on my Mercedes. However the impact was there. This is something to consider in your furrier car accidents. Insurance companies are still relying on physical damage to estimate your injuries. Today the automobile industry will guarantee you how the new and improved bumpers are made to withstand more pressure and are more flexible. So we're screwed. Least I was. I'm out a couple of grand and I feel it wasn't even my fault. I followed what Liberty Mutual had told me to do- and in the end they said "NOPE & Stop contacting us!" There it is. The real system of going through the insurance agent yourself.
Ian Silverthorne is our savior. He took my case pro bono because he was so upset with Liberty Mutual and what they did to me. Within two months I had a huge settlement from Liberty Mutual. Ian came through for me and my girls. He got me out of debt and he managed to get my Autistic Daughter a Trust!!!! This is more than I was asking for with Liberty Mutual. I just wanted reimbursement and to love on with my life. Ian goes above and beyond that.
Thank You Ian

I had not yet secured my attorney, so essentially I was "pro per". Mr. Silverthorne would not allow me his name, or business card not tell me which firm he represented. He was "showboating" and waving his arms, loudly performing as if this was the case of the century in a sensitive family court matter in the hallways, encouraging hateful behavior. He was very rude and I've been an child support advocate for ten years and have never seen such unprofessional behavior.
I've spoken to many large firms recently and they explained that any lawyer of merit would never encourage and self promote in such a delicate environment. Best he sticks to fender benders. Personally, this is a man of ego and not merit.
His client has a very violent history and his tactic is to further abuse the victim who has endured years of physical abuse.
Definitely not impressed. But I know you can hire him for very low costs, he isn't top of the league.
I have recommended Ian to friends and will continue to do so in the future.
