I received speeding and registration tickets from the LASD motorcycle cops that sit on PCH between Santa Monica and Malibu in the early AM. I was all set to plead guilty and just pay these tickets when a friend recommended that I contact Robert. So I got a 2point ticket. I obcoulsy freaked out. So I searched for someone to represent me. I called a lawyer I was told about but he told me he doesn't work in the area I needed. I got a speeding ticket by radar gun doing 90 plus in the city of Beverly Hills. I was not at fault since I believe I was mistaken by another vehicle.
I decided to fight the ticket and found Attorney Robert Hakim on google search. I was amazed to see all the positive reviews he had on google so I decided to contact his office. I called his office and spoke to him for few minutes explaining the situation, he took time to explain my options then I decided to hire him to represent me and hopefully reduce my ticket so I can at least be illegible for traffic school. TLDR: A few months ago I got a ticket for texting and driving, specifically using cellphone with both hands (which I was not doing.) I was given the ticket by officer Booker (LA County) while stopped at a light looking at the map with one hand, by an officer on a motorcycle who was looking in everyone's windows and giving rushed tickets. In fact, he gave me the ticket at the light and then once it turned green, he looked at & pulled over the very next car in front of me. On my ticket, he misspelled my last name badly and got my date of birth and age wrong by ten years. Even though the citation would have only been $140 or so, I paid Robert Hakim $250 to represent me in court to try to get it dismissed, and so that there would be no points assessed, because clearly if this officer made so many mistakes even writing the ticket, how could it hold up in court? Robert conducted everything over text, which I thought was weird but it was convenient. We had maybe a 2 minute phone call to talk about the ticket the day before he went to court, and then he tried to call me while talking to the judge! I wasn't able to answer the call, and while I was unable to answer he plead guilty on my behalf - which I wouldn't have done because I was not using my phone with two hands. Now my ticket went from $140 to $180 because I can no longer pay in the court house. If he needed me to be available for a call, I would have made sure I could answer. I was able to call back ten minutes later - when it was too late - and that was so frustrating. I had no idea my lawyer would try to call me in front of the judge, and that would have been really good to know in advance.
