Wouldn't retain again. Minutes after posting a very respectful yet negative review a while back, Mr. Helfend called me screaming and threatened to send it to the court to use as evidence against me in my case.

I don't write reviews cause I'm terrible at writing but I owe everything to Robert. My first lawyer lied to me and draggrd my case on for fours year. I contacted Robert when I realised my first lawyer was just trying to run away with my money. Not only did he get my Felony charge dropped to a misdemeanor, he got my money back from my previous lawyer. You can't help but feel safe when you're around Robert. Super reassuring and always there when you need him. Thank you for everything!!

Watching your children move away from home specially across the country, is very nerve wracking enough for their parents . It is even more devastating and stressful when they end up having poor judgment and the law becomes involved. That was our unfortunate experience. In the midst of my desperation and thousands miles away , I reached out to Mr Helfend office. He contacted me back very quickly, he explained the situation to me ,and gave us an immediate plan of action. Mr. Helfend was kind, understanding, and knowledgeable , and most importantly he was sincere. When Mr. Helfend walks in, he outshines everybody else in the courtroom. His presentation sparkles and he has all the smarts, timing and persistence to overcome immense obstacles.

Just to clarify, this review is in no way representative of how Mr. Helfend conducts business as an attorney as I have had no contact with him personally.

That being said, I've been trying to contact Mr. Helfend for the past 2-3 weeks to inquire about a situation of mine and to see what course of action should be taken. Of the 3 times I have called and left a message with whomever was handling his calls for those days, I was informed that he was busy and to leave my information with them and he would get back to me within a couple minutes. 3 calls and messages left later, I have not received any call back.

Now I don't believe this to be in anyway representative of Mr. Helfend as an attorney, but at the very least I would have expected a call back possibly informing me that Mr. Helfend is busy at the moment and not taking on new clients. What I believe to have happened is some sort of miscommunication between whomever is taking calls and Mr. Helfend himself.

Absolute game changer. This man is the best around.

Robert Helfend is an amazing criminal defense attorney. I have him on 2 different cases & finally got to see him in action at our preliminary. Which isn't even over yet, but just from that so far.. This guy is worst attorney money can hire. Unless you want to lose your case and be thrown in jail don’t hire this guy. I’m telling you don’t. He is sloppy, disorganized and basically incompetent.

He met with me, heard my side, and quickly assessed a brighter future for me. He gave me hope Vs. my last attorney who depressed me. He's actually a pretty cool dude on a personal level. Always smiling and in control. Great attorney overall. Highly recommend. No complaints. He reduced my charge big time. Reduced to the lowest misdemeanor of a different category. No violence on my record in the end. Had a small court fee and anger management classes. Soooo glad I hired him.
