Stephano's was the worst lawyer I have ever worked with or paid. He was lazy, not very intelligent, he used the oppositions rhetoric to manipulate me, and lied a lot as well. I had to release him as he was not prepared, did not believe in opening statement too, he made a contract with language that we did not speak about and tried to get me to sign it with fake enthusiasm. He used cheap lawyer tricks, the deal had language that the opposition did not request that was also not in my interest, and he seemed like he was out of touch with reality. I ended up scheduling my own continuance for the second time without him. He's a low class lawyer rat and so is the law firm. You can get way better for less somewhere else.

Terrible leader.
Took my money for the simplest case he'd ever have and put zero effort into it. Would fumble over information and evidence in his office due to lack of organization and carelessness.
Ended up with a public defender that did more than he did over 2 months in 3 days.
Carries the little guy complex that does not bode well in the courtroom evidently.
Wouldn't recommend this individual to sell used cars, let alone represent someone in the court of law.
And I'd venture to say his other couple positive reviews are the ones people get paid to put up.

The cause of my going many miles over the speed limit on the day of my infraction was an empty freeway, a great song on the radio and my lead foot. Mr. Shapiro is one of the best DUI attorneys in the San Diego area. I hired him in 2010 and 2013. Both were DUI cases. He was very straight forward with me with the pros and cons of each case and what the punishment was going to look like. I really appreciate his honesty, and aggressiveness while representing me in court. Getting through a DUI is never easy if you do not know the process and if you do not have legal representation. If I would of done this by myself I would of easily had missed some of things that you need to do like attend the MADD meeting, apply for DUI courses on time, or prepare for your license suspension.
