Never again!! NO excuse for this wait. Only 3 people waiting these 4 hours..!! Stay away, unless you have time to spare. And not bleeding to death..And can go without water or food. Ugh!!
I call the office phone number and ask to make a same-day appointment; receptionist tells me they're able to take me now (not many clients) so I leave my workplace around 12:45 and arrive there at 1 on the dot. Receptionist asks for my ID + insurance card and once looked over asks me to take a seat. After waiting 15 minutes, she tells me she forgot to hand me the paperwork I need to fill out. Once I oblige, I ask her how long the wait is given there's only 3 people in the waiting room; she quickly blurts out an hour and then goes back to her business. After waiting the initial hour, I ask how much longer the wait will be; again, she replies another hour. Because the degree of pain I was experiecing at the moment was intolerable, I decided to hop over to the nearby CVS and buy some ibuprofen. I asked her if she could call/text me once my spot was open but she refused and said I should go home (I live one block away) and check up on the availability myself. Once home, I call at least 2 times, receiving yet again two other wait periods.
I head back at 4 and am not seen until 4:45 by Dr. Robert Oldt, a septuagenarian with an apparent severe disability. Because of his inability to walk without a walker and interact with me physically,
I only received a five minute consultation with the doctor and was not properly diagnosed by him or his staff. After refusing to run any tests to adequately determine what's causing me pain, he simply prescribes me the medication I asked for and leaves. Because of other medication I'm taking, I ask him to check if there might be a possible interferrance. Instead of discussing it further and offering alternatives, he insists it's my responsibility and he is not liable for any risks I might experience. Feeling completelty robbed of my time and $60 co-pay for the subpar consultation, I head over to my pharmacy and ask the pharmacist for help with my prescription.
The doctor will be receiving a complaint to the board on my behalf, a well deserved one.
