Recently, I took my elderly mother to Family Security Law Group, to update an out of date Trust. Marisha, the attourney that helped us, was amazing. She found mistakes in our previous Trust that would have been devastating if my Mother had passed, before making the necessary changes. Marisha explained everything, in detail, in a way we could easily understand. She is extremely kind with a very sharp mind. I was so impressed, I decided to make an appointment for my wife and I to come in and update our Trust, as well. Thankfully we did, there were numerous items in our Trust that needed to be changed and she found mistakes that should not have happened. (We refinanced years ago, the house was not placed in our Trust, like it should have been!) We assumed it was in the Trust. Never assume!
The cost of a Trust is expensive, I found the price here to be good, better than most. Not having a Trust is unacceptable to me, if you love your family, it is a must have. If you dont have a Trust, you can expect your kids to deal with probate for about 13-months, and lose a chunck of the assets you wanted them to have. I watched this scenario happen to my Uncle, my dad had to deal with the whole thing. It was not pretty. Purchase a Trust!
