Over the past 14 years, she has provided vital assistance to my company, from reviewing and negotiating key provisions in my Office Lease Agreement, which benefited me instead of the landlord; to reviewing and amending my "Engineering Contracts." She has also kept us out of legal trouble by educating myself and my engineers about the legal environment of our business. Don’t Do It!!!
If there was a negative star review system, that’s what Carolyn would get. I hired Carolyn and paid her thousands of dollars for 7 months, only to have her berate me, argue and do nothing but do her best to lose my case and hurt me. The opposing council imposed sanctions against me of over $26,000, because Carolyn wouldn’t answer any of their Discovery questions, even though I answered them and gave her all the answers. They gave her two extensions and she still did nothing. At one point she told me that the opposing council was filing a complaint against me for Malicious Prosecution. I asked her why and she said not to worry. If they did, it would be after this case. I told her I didn’t want them to file a complaint against me during OR after the case. The reason they wanted to file it, is because they thought I was being evasive and not answering their questions and I had no evidence. Of course I had evidence! I was suing my neighbors for taking over our whole common property and violating the CC&Rs. They took our front yard, and turned it into their own closed off private patio. They were completely guilty. It is a no brainer. When I told Carolyn how upset I was that my neighbors took away our front yard, she sad it was only a little patch of grass. She is the most insensitive, rude and offensive woman, and I was subjected to this person for months, and had the pleasure of paying for it. I should have read other reviews where people said the same things about her, before hiring her. Stupid me. One time I told her how rude and offensive she was being towards me, and this is what she said,”You aren’t the first and you won’t be the last.” That should tell you everything. She doesn’t follow up and return emails or phone calls. When she does, she never has the information you asked for, and acts like you are being a huge inconvenience to her. It’s a nightmare! I hired her to help me and take the stress off, but all she did was add more, make me sick with nausea and migraines. I started having anxiety and panic attacks, when I was already having them because of the problem with my neighbors. Now I was having more, along with vomiting. I fired Carolyn in Dec 2017 and hired a new law firm. All I and my new law firm have been doing since then, is cleaning up Carolyn’s mess and mistakes. It’s even worse than I thought. We cannot even move forward with the actual case yet. Carolyn is long gone, but she is still costing me $$$$$
I now have to file a complaint with the California Bar and file a Malpractice Lawsuit against her.
Stay far far away from this woman. She has no right to call herself an attorney!!!
