exactly 2 years after filling chapter 7 with Melanie, I got a crazy call about lean on my new purchased property, I called her, she responded in an hour, calmed me down, assured me I'm good 100%. and i can buy and sell .. she is a rock star in the law firm.

I went there in 2017 to file bankruptcy, very unorganized the day I was there, I signed the forms and gave them my credit card info,I changed my mind about doing it, called them up and told them I had, then I sent a letter to there office and told them I was not Going to do it, the contract said you have 14 days to change your mind, which I did 2 days later, and was still charged 250 dollars, which they have not returned, so I'm going to file in small claims court to get my money back, also in touch with ch4 in jax to help me out

If I could give negative stars I would. The Law Offices of Sacks & Sacks is really good at faking it until you sign a contract . Melanie Sacks was my lawyer. When I first met her I had already seen other lawyers that I did not feel comfortable with putting my trust in. So when I met Melanie I thought she’s nice , honest and she’s from New York like me so I immediately felt comfortable and confident that she would be the perfect fit for my case . Once I signed everything and started paying her she became a completely different person . She’s just nasty, rude, and unprofessional. I went through a rough patch when I had to move out of my parents house and before that I called her office and spoke with Dorothy and asked her if I could push my monthly payment out to the following week just to give myself some time to catch up after moving for the first time. Dorothy told me that was fine and that she would have Melanie reach out to me if there was any issues with that . I never heard from them so I thought okay that means there’s no issues as those were Dorothy’s words . Then I get a call from Melanie with her yelling at me and telling me I better give her ‘ HER’ money or she is going to report me and destroy my whole bankruptcy case . She told me that it’s not her problem that I can’t pay . I begged her not to destroy my case as I really need this bankruptcy case to move to the next step in my life debt free . She got so vulgar that I had to pass the phone off to my sister because I was just to upset to let someone as ignorant as her bring me 100 steps back and down to her level . She claims she cares but all she wants is money . If you are looking for a lawyer who actually cares she is not one of them .

** update : Melanie just contacted me in reference to the review I wrote above . She accused me of being “harsh” and “ defamatory” . Most likely she is trying to scare me into taking this review down . I will not because others need to know the truth.

Adam Sacks ripped me off. Took $500 and dropped me next court date. Spent 6 months in duval county just fighting my case. I was recommended by the so called Christian bonds office sharing the complex with him. I was from orlando came up to my court date like i was told. Next thing i know my bonds revoked and my lawyer drops me. My bond was revoked they said because i didn't call. I could show the bonds men Mr Parrish on my phone where the log showed I called several times ( cell phones were still kinda new back then and im guessing call logs were to advanced him him to understand). They still revoked it and took $1500 dollars and locked me up. The next morning after being screwed by the bonds men i was to appear in court. Adam Sacks shows up and drops me because my bond was revoked and he said he could not help me anymore. Another $500.00 down the drain. I had never been in trouble. Now i was broke and in jail with no one to speak up for me. I was 18 years old and locked up with people like the taxi cab killer ( Jarouso ) and Michael Jackson ( not the pop start the one who buried people alive. I ended up with a felony and it has truly impacted my life. I was 18 and the girl was 16 ( I'm not a sex offender but came very close thanks to Adam). Im 34 now just thinking back on life and where it went wrong. Adam you could have stood up for me but you took my money left me to rot. I was on the President's honor role, had colleges picked out. State filed charges after my son was born. It was not like I committed rape. I might have been 18 but i was a child myself. Felons cant vote, own guns, live in apartments and most rental homes, jobs are limited. I had a bright future and trusted him to watch out for me. Lawyers like Adam is why good people can still turn into statistics.

I have no reason to ever forget. Adam did take 500$ and drop me. People that screw you over you remember.

Filed bankruptcy, The person, MELANIE, gives the sweet story, wants to help. Sign the contract& she is a completely different beast. Nothing is timely, nothing as promised! She is just not to be trusted. I would not use her for anything. All she does is complain& take your money.
