I appreciated his honesty throughout the divorce and his guidance. He did not lie to me or misguide me. He gave legal advice when anything popped up that could potentially help or harm the case of custody of my child. This was important as I wanted to ensure that I was doing everything I could to maintain custody.
When it came to pricing, he is very fair priced. I am not rich, nor did I have a bunch of money saved up for divorce as it was very unexpected. He was well worth the cost and I feel like I got my dollars worth.
Highly recommend him to anyone who is divorcing, seeking custody, or a fair settlement.
Responding to owner response: I have said multiple time that it was not the outcome. It was the poor representation, lack of email response, lack of questions answered, lack of having information in a timely fashion in regards to mediation, poor mediation preparation, over all apathy about the case. The GAL did not even interview his grandparents, his aunts/uncles, his preschool, neighbors, all the people who saw his mom act in dangerous and irrational ways, the GAL ignored half the information available to her, little to no Georgia investigations. It was a very poor job only done half way if that. Very disappointing to say the least. Very expensive and very bad representation. The mediation? We had a no charge mediator the court paid for but... you guess it.... The lawyers picked a paid mediator! I paid over $4000 on mediation day! The mediator took 6 hours what could have been done in 2, that 6 hours was full of stories and anecdotes about his life, not focusing on the task as hand. And very insensitive, the lawyer and mediator were laughing and talking about their kids as I was sitting in the office, stunned to be losing mine. The paperwork, NEVER done right always issues with it, the final draft had custody transfer at the mother's house in Colorado every time, 1800 miles away, dates and visitation we had not discussed, every break was called "fall" break, full of errors. A very bad experience all around, incredible that this kind of "representation" is even allowed. Beware. Be warned.
As an active duty service member who was going through a lengthy divorce and child custody case, AJ assisted me in retaining my children, my house and retirement from my ex-wife. His understanding of both Georgia and UCMJ greatly aided me during the divorce that spanned over three years largely in part to a 15 month deployment.
AJ, along with his staff, worked with me regarding time, money and legal proceedings, and remained understanding and professional. I HIGHLY recommend either AJ Balbo or Chet Gregg with any legal matter.
