Great law firm for estate planning and small business creation.

Very disappointed, and not a good experiance at all. Very Poor cmmunication

I paid Rusty Adams a $4000 retainer in order to file suit against Texas A&M. He lied to my father and I before we retained him and claimed he had previously successfully sued Texas A&M.

He did some work, but ended up dropping my case due to an incident which actually made the case more appealable and worth pursuing. His work was “research” and did not amount to anything that materially benefitted the case.

He kept his entire $4000 retainer and did not file the lawsuit as he had promised.

I attempted to pursue this matter in small claims court. However Chris Peterson was a LinkedIn Connection with Judge Rick Hill in Brazos County and he successfully shopped the case to that judge, where it was thrown out. Oddly enough, the judge ordered that I pay over $10,000 in additional attorney fees to Chris Peterson, when there is no way he could have incurred those expenses.

I timely filed an appeal in the case yet Chris Peterson’s LinkedIn connection is refusing to forward the case along to the County Civil Court. This may required a Mandamus Action against the judge.

Dealing with this law firm has been a total nightmare.

Nothing but good things to say about this firm. Chris is a good guy, represented me well in a family law matter (enforcement of divorce decree). Alyssa kept me updated through the entire process. I was very satisfied with my overall experience here. Very reasonable with the rates. They did not charge me for emails, phone calls, or to make copies of paperwork, it was a flat rate with an expense account (for filling fee's etc).This firm also provides FREE seminars that you might find useful. Great lawyer, gets the job done

Retained Kassi Horner to handle my case well over all she took my money and never did anything for me. I handled my case on my own and basically fired her and come to find out she had a non refundable retainer paper in the stack of papers I had to sign. they have almost $2000 of my $3000 (goes to show how much work she didn't do in a whole year). it had been a couple of years and they wont give me the money back even though I was extremely unhappy with the service I received. Never returned phone calls very poor communication skills!!! Would never recommend this firm!!!

I retained Ms. Horner of the Peterson Law Group in Bryan, Texas to represent me in a case to modify my divorce decree which was a motion filed by my ex-husband. Later this case turned into a child custody hearing. During that time Ms. Horner was extremely difficult to correspond with or reach by phone. When the case turned into a child custody case, Ms. Horner assured me that my ex-husband was not trying to get custody of my child. He was simply using that as a "threat" in order to get what he really wanted which was to change our meeting place for visitation. She claims to be a child custody expert so I trusted her to know what she was talking about. She was terribly mistaken. The few times I was able to reach her, she consistently gave poor counsel and in the end did not accomplish the job she was hired to do. I ended up having to hire another attorney that took my case seriously and won. The judge ordered Ms. Horner to turn over all original documents to me which she never did. I had to pay my new attorney to retrieve them from the Peterson Law Office on my behalf. In summary, Ms. Horner would be the very last person I would retain for legal counsel. The only reasons to retain her are if you have "plenty" of time and money to waste.

I am starting up a small business (my first) and Peterson Law Group kept coming up when I asked for references. After my first meeting with Chris, I knew they were the firm for me; knowledgeable, open, and patient. I highly recommend them.

In starting up my small business I knew I would need an attorney I could trust. After asking around for recommendations, I made a list and had planned on talking to several attorneys. Chris was first on my list and after talking with him, I didn't even follow up with the others on my list. I knew I had found the "business partner" for me! He has helped me set up the corporation, helped when I messed that up and is presently working on our lease for the business. Chris is EXTREMELY fast at answering e-mails and call backs and always ready to help when I've asked him. I'm very happy with his services and wholeheartedly recommend him.
