Micah Royer helped me navigate, strategize and think through a turbulent divorce. He's focused, pays attention to the details of your case and makes suggestions that are relevant, helpful and pertinent to your individual situation. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs the valued expertise and skilled execution of a professional divorce attorney. I was very pleased with the results of my case and would easily consider him as a first choice if I ever needed help again.

Micah Royer of Coldwell Bowes handled an extremely complicated case for me on very short notice and did an amazing job. Micah was lightning-quick to act on my behalf, coming up with a great strategy and executing it ahead of an unforeseen deadline mere hours after I hired him. Over the following months, Micah represented me with care and determination. He was insightful developing my case, resourceful bringing in experts on my behalf, and was a steady negotiator when it came to a settlement. His paralegal, Kimberly Edgington, was brilliant to work with and did everything she could to make the process as easy and efficient as possible. The pricing at Coldwell Bowes was fair and transparent. I'm very thankful to have found Micah and his team, and would highly recommend him and his firm.

Micah Royer represented me through my divorce case and has been very helpful solving this painful and exhausting time in my life. He is very knowledgeable and explains things so that I can understand what the legal terms actually mean. You will be happy to have him by your side through this difficult time. All staff that I encountered were friendly and professional!
This review is long over due. There is no way to put into words how wonderful my experience was with Micah and Kim. Divorce was the most difficult life experience I’ve ever had to navigate. The thoughtful and caring guidance I received helped me maintain my sanity throughout the process. I was an emotional mess and unable to make decisions. I appreciated the calm and calculated approach to handling the seemingly endless and often ridiculous attacks from the Ex. Despite the circumstances I actually looked forward to meeting with my team. I can honestly say that I miss seeing my new friends at this office. Possibly more importantly, my case was settled efficiently and ethically. They say only lawyers win in court but everyone involved knows I WON this one. Micah came through in a huge way for me. I’ve passed his card on three times. I’ll continue to do so.

Micah Royer is an attorney who will advocate for you from the beginning of the process to the very end. I heard about Mr. Royer through a friend. During my consultation he was very knowledgeable, he and presented elements that benefited me as a client. He understands the laws, thus allowing him to explain clearly what you are entitled to in your case. These specific cases are always challenging and can be extremely tense and stressful. However Mr. Royer fully comprehends what it means to advocate for his client and does it in the most excellent way. That is one of the reasons why I chose tome forward with him as my attorney. I highly recommend him.

Let's be honest, being involved in any kind of family law case is not fun! It's emotional, frustrating, expensive and lots of other adjectives.
Micah was the fifth attorney that I met with. Three other local, respected family law attorneys spoke very highly of Micah to me. I believe that kind of recommendation from your peers speaks volumes and that even in a court room, an attorney's reputation will precede them. I consider this an important factor to take into account when hiring an attorney.
My case was full of twists and turns and at different moments, over many months, different possible outcomes came into play. I found Micah to be very knowledgeable of the law and its application. He has a great ability to unpack all of the legal jargon in a practical way. He was thorough in explaining all my options and helping me weigh the impact of each one. In all of our appearances, Micah was well prepared and able to quickly and seamlessly shift gears when the situation compelled.
I noticed a common theme of genuine care and compassion in Micah's previous reviews. I can give a big AMEN to that. I felt heard, understood and that the best interest of my family was his focus. However, don't think this kind, compassionate, law nerd isn't a total fighter when the situation calls for it. His compassion manifests into well-spoken, well-written persuasive passion when the time comes! He is a skilled litigator and somehow nice guy turns intimidating when the pressure is on. Just saying, sometimes that is needed. Yet, it was done with the utmost of integrity, as an advocate of the truth. I use to complain about how costly an attorney can be but after that experience I am convinced they are not paid enough! My family and I are forever grateful.
Kim, Micah's paralegal, was an integral person for me throughout. Her availability, knowledge and warmth were dependable and reassuring. In keeping with the culture of this team, I would add that all my interactions with other Coldwell Bowes staff was as pleasant as a trip to Chick-fil-A. That's saying something!

I hired Micah Royer to help me with child support modification and enforcement. I reside out of state, so I trusted Micah to handle everything without me ever having to be present. What is normally a fairly simple process was unsurprisingly challenging due to the other party, but Micah and his paralegal, Kim, took a very trying situation and handled it with care and ease. I always felt that Micah had my best interests in mind and was ready to do whatever was necessary to see those interests pursued. He is not only skilled at what he does, but he handles his cases with compassion and care. It is easy to see that he truly cares about his work. I would readily hire Micah again and would highly recommend him.

Micah Royer and his assistant Kimberly Edgington were not only courteous and professional, but were empathetic to my situation and helped me to keep myself focused on the best interests of my family instead of just my emotions in the process. His rates were reasonable as well.

After dealing with several attorneys through a painful divorce, Attorney Micah Royer at Coldwell | Bowes, did an amazing job representing, advising, and supporting me after my ex-wife filed a lawsuit against me. Micah is incredibly knowledgeable of both family law, and the courts his clients’ cases are presented before. His calm and steady presence very successfully steered me through depositions, appearances before the court, mediation, and arbitration over a thirteen month period, and because of his hard work, I have more time with my kids. He was instrumental is assisting me with building a team of professionals to help me navigate all the difficult issues I was struggling with in positive way. I’m a better man and dad after this experience and Micah was a huge part of my growth. His paralegal, Kim Edgington, is awesome! She made compiling the various documents and evidence as pleasant as possible and helped me stay on top of deadlines. The billing folks at Coldwell | Bowes were easy to work with and ensured all the costs were easy to understand. I'm beyond thankful to Micah and his team, and would highly recommend he and his firm.

Very unethical firm that pads the hours. Charlie is extremely hostile and created an enormous amount of stress in an already stressful time of life. I was billed $7000 for very little work, for example I was billed almost $2000 to read a 20 page document that did not receive a response. I should have sought a refund, and reported Charlie to the Bar Association, but it did not fit into my life at the time of my turmoil. My case was very extreme and I felt as though Charlie saw an easy way to victimize someone under significant duress. After this I sought other counsel from Daryl Weinman and learned more in 1 hour than I did with Charlie after $7000. Charlie makes you feel as though you are the enemy and comes off with his tough love act as he berates you. His advice was terrible in retrospect when seeking other counsel. Supposedly Charlie Bowes has a reputation for being “overly prepared”, which is lawyer speak for he is a notorious bill padder. STAY AWAY

This review specifically relates to Michele Locke and her paralegal Juan Diaz.
I found Michele through dumb luck, and I am thankful every day that I did. I had a nightmare divorce that lasted almost three years, with a now-ex-wife who is about as bad as they come. Michele was a light in the middle of darkness and chaos for me. Not only is she an amazing lawyer, she is also an amazing person.
Our "system" is severely biased against fathers like me, who absolutely adore their kids. It doesn't matter if you are the better person or the better parent, it is an uphill battle for fathers. Michele helped keep me grounded through all the injustices that I dealt with, and I ended up with 50-50 custody of my children because I followed her lead. Every piece of advice and guidance she gave me was based on a well-balanced combination of sound legal practice combined with a genuine concern for the personal well-being of myself, my children, and even my ex-wife. Yes, she even cared about the well-being my ex wife . . . definitely a testimonial to what a high-quality person of impeccable integrity she is.
A piece of advice from someone that lived through it - listen to her, she knows what she is talking about! She will guide you with both wisdom and compassion, but don't ever mistake Michele's kindness for weakness. The couple of times that we had to go to court against my ex and her attorneys, we literally crushed them on every motion presented.
In a practice called "family law," where most attorneys that I have seen only care about lining their pockets, Michele stands worlds apart - she actually cares about people and families. Words can't describe what she did for my family, so hopefully what I wrote in this review will be enough for you to want to find out for yourself.
As a side note, her paralegal, Juan, is great too. Don't underestimate how helpful and valuable he is to the team.
There is no way she won't know who wrote this review, so if you need to speak with me personally to reiterate how wonderful she is, I am more than happy to take the time to do so.

I can't say enough good things about Micah. I hired him to handle my divorce, as I was very disappointed with my representation (after four months and $10,000, zero progress). Within two weeks, Micah had a date set for mediation. At mediation, Micah was able to negotiate a settlement that went way beyond my hopes and expectations. I swear I went out of mediation skipping. Micah is knowledgeable, efficient, responsive and a fantastic negotiator. You will not find a better lawyer.
