We used them for immigration. Although our employee was selected in the drawing, a request for evidence was requested. Which is pretty normal. In the past with other law firms it hasn’t been a big deal and the H1B has been granted. With K&L gates, it was refused. Maybe it wasn’t their fault. Maybe immigration didn’t think my employee from India should be allowed in. Here’s the thing: they started sending me invoices 6 months later for work they couldn’t explain. I asked multiple times for an explanation. Instead, I continued getting inquiries on when I would pay. I kept referencing my old emails asking for an explanation. Finally, 4 months later, they acknowledged my questioning and decided to disregard the invoice. Now I just received an email saying there’s an outstanding invoice and asked when I was going to pay it. From the same exact person that told me to disregard it 2 months ago... They are so disorganized, it’s no wonder my employee didn’t get granted the H1B. I’m assuming they didn’t submit the right paperwork.
