For those of you who complain that your "court appointed" attorney isn't doing much for you...think about how much research is needed for a case. I guarantee you, the attorney isn't getting paid for all you are expecting to be done. Court appointed attorneys do the best they can with the resources they have. I suggest you offer funds to assist your attorney do the best job for you. You get what you pay for, so what are you upset about? Paid customers are the priority...periodt

Merri Nichols was the court-appointed attorney for my brother's case. My brother had a hard time getting in contact with Ms.Nichols and received little to no assistance with his case. I contacted her office on several occasions and left several messages with the receptionist and voicemail, but NEVER received any call back. I believe she is just another attorney out to move up within the justice system by appeasing to the district attorney's office.

Ms nicholes has been my court appointed attorney since last October. I can rarely get her on the phone or to even return a call. I have already tried calling her 19 times within the last 5 days and nothing. When she was first assigned to me she somewhat kept in contact. I have court again in 2 days and I've been trying to get in touch with her for 2 months. When I first met her she came off as very educated and very willing to work for her client. As time goes by however I have discovered that that is not the case that she just doesn't care about her clients. Like I said in the beginning she's a court-appointed. Maybe if you actually give her money she might be willing to do something for you because she doesn't help Court appointees not one bit.
