These crooks hobbies consist of suspending hardworking citizens drivers license without any kind of notification what so ever, even if you have paid them Tens of thousands for 10+ years... I feel sorry for anyone who ever ends up required to deal with them!

.My payments are due on the 5th of every month.I have never missed a payment but when I was a little late on my last payment that is due on the 5th I was already receiving a letter saying that I had an agreement and the payment hasn't been received.The problem is that all the sudden, there is no grace period to make the payment.I was informed in the beginning that I had 10 extra days to make the payment and now they tell me that isn't.I never received any email,call or letter about this.

Unable to reach anyone to set up a payment arrangement. Would gladly do so if I could get a body on the phone.

I don't make much money and I have a lot of medical bills and student loan debt. I try to pay my bills but can't always do it consistently. I'm always "robbing Peter to pay Paul". I was taken to court/mediation by this firm after an overlooked hospital bill was turned over to them. The hospital bill was around $400.00 and they added another $450 in fees and court costs. From the start their attorney told me that if I didn't pay they would garnish my wages. I felt threatened and extorted and I had no choice but to sign their agreement. I have paid half of what I owe but because I have not been consistent, they are threatening more legal action against me. When you call their office (if you can get someone on the phone) you get a Tony Soprano wanna be who says he's a supervisor. Very rude, condescending and low-class. Your left feeling like you better pay or they're gonna send somebody over to break your knee-caps.

The people there who answer the calls are real nice.

Not a legitamate company. Read up on this company before sending any sort of payment. False letters sent. Threats via phone calls and mail. Extremely unprofessional when calling. Be careful dealing with a company of this sort. Going to the BBB next.

Intimidation tactics over the phone, have been "advised" of policy changes over the phone but won't supply them in writing. Charge outrageous interest on the account making it so that I won't have it paid off for like 20 years all while threatening your license on every call. These are scumbags.

HORRIBLE PEOPLE NO SYMPATHY FOR PEOPLE. I CCALLED MADE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS AND SIGNED THE PAPERWORK AND SENT IT BACK WAS TOLD I DIDNT NEED ANYTHING ELSE OR TO GO TO THE COURT DATE ISSUED. WELL COUPLE WEEKS LATER I RECEIVED A LETTER STATING I DIDNT SHOW UP FOR MY COURT DATE SO THE JUDGE AWARDED THEM HIGHER PAYMENTS TO BE PAID THAT I CAN NOT AFFORD. I CALL AND TRY TO WORK WITH THEM THEY TELL ME ITS OUT OF THEIR HANDS NOW. THEY ARE BLOOD SUCKERS THAT PRAY ON PEOPLE WHO ARE INJURED. WATCH OUT FOR THEM .

Was intimidated over the phone by telling me the judge will decide how much I will have to pay each month. I can't afford what they are asking from me and wouldn't come down to a reasonable price that I can afford. All I can say it "The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act."
These people don't have mirrors in their own homes and would catch fire if they were to walk into church. Scum bags is what these people are. Debt collectors with lawyers backing them and know the literature and the ins and outs of the system. Unlike people who couldn't afford the original bill and how would that same person afford legal council so it would a fair fight. Eventually you are strong armed into signing their agreement. Beware and record all conversations. I made the mistake by not being prepared to record the first call I made to Lotane.

J. R., the manager I had to deal with is honestly the rudest man I've ever had to deal with. They add on extra cost quickly, they do not try to work with you at all. This company is horrible and my balance has only gone down by a small amount in 5 years. They do not care about helping anyone but themselves.

Couple year ago, I received a letter about me being to collections. Claims to be a law firm, but there is no professionalism. I called because I had questions concerning the letter I received. All they said was I owe and I must pay now. When I asked why do I need to pay they had no response. Then threatened me they had the power to suspend my license. Since they were so unprofessional I told them to F' off. A month later I got another letter. I went to the dmv and they said my driver license is not suspended. Then I got a credit report which I was not in collection. These people are liars don't belive them I honestly think it's a scam. It's been years now and nothing has happened hahahahaha Time to time I get letter from them laugh and throw it away. I again checked with the DMV and they said they have no clue why I'm recieving this letter. Hahahaha

Awful customer service. Literally worst attitudes ever. Of course they want people to pay what they owe but it’s important to also treat others with dignity and respect. Definitely would recommend automating your payments so you don’t have to talk to these people.

I would give 0 stars if possible. If their automated payment system messes up they will charge you $25 on top of the interest they are charging you, and will not allow you to pay by check or automated service again. Real fair right

Your automated payment system booted me before I could finish putting my information, tried to run my incomplete info, so you charged me $25 for not being able to find my account. Since I chose to use my routing and checking account number, you count it as a check and won’t let me pay any other way then money order or cashiers check. Believe me, I have already called you about this and was told their is no way you guys will waive the fee or do anything else helpful for me. So if you would like to change this negative review, you can call me and give me a solution, not a fake response that sounds like you care when you do not.

They are a great Law Firm and very fair! I have a lean on my driver license from a auto accident, cause my insurance lapsed, so its my fault and they been very kind and been working with me, Im a disabled veteran and I cant say anything bad because they are doing there job, because of my fault forgetting to make my auto insurance payment, thats not there fault and they have gone out of there way to make it were a payment program works for me and I'm grateful to them for there kindness!

I was brought to court by a greedy doctor who charged me from his office somehow when I went to the E.R. They did not bill my insurance and took me to court over money that I don't feel I actually owe them. Like other people I have been threatened with Wage garnishment. I have four kids, three with type one diabetes and I myself am a type one diabetic. That is not a good look to threaten to take food out of the mouths of four diabetics, especially when the doctor charged me and the E.R. charged me and the doctor didn't bill my insurance or maybe he did and they didn't pay it because they knew it was a scam.

We've had a payment plan for a medical debt that we've paid every month before the due date. They sent us a letter A YEAR after a supposedly missed payment (which we did pay) to say we were facing a judgment over the $200 remaining balance, despite consistently paying as agreed for over 2 years. We were forced to pay the balance despite the fact that it was their fault and shoddy record keeping,.

Extremely unprofessional. Right after I write this, some PR person making minimum wage will respond saying "we are a debt collection company and we collect debts, we'd love for you to contact us". It's their standard answer, except if you "raise your concerns" you'll get talked down to and hung up on. I got yelled at when I tried to explain something. Basically "Troy Lotane" decided to leave actual law practice and go into loan shark protection. He spends lots of money for PR but really he's only making people's lives miserable. People like him and this firm are why I moved away from that state.

I have been paying this firm for over 10 years monthly and this holiday season I was a couple of days late and they suspended my license and are demanding $500 to provide me a letter to pay to have it reinstated.
Their Mission statement is: We shall consistently treat our clients, employees and the community with honesty, dignity, fairness and respect and conduct our business with the highest ethical standards.
Also the employees have a habit of hanging up on clients (they did it 2X to us) and do not listen to what is being said and just "Parrot Back" the same information. This company is Violating our "Verbal Agreement" that we had. This company is VERY DIFFICULT to deal with.

I got into an accident, uninsured, over a decade ago. I paid them for years and wrote a letter asking how much more I owe... the answer was $2k more than the original problem!! During the time I was paying I was still hounded on the phone every month telling me to pay. I don't know what robot is in control of this, but now I need my license back and there's no way I'm gonna call these people and ask how to do it... they know I can't afford a lawyer to do it for me. I want to drive again and I can't understand how this firm is still going after screwing so many people so often. My best guess is that they bought the debt from the insurance company of the other party and now get to write their own rules

I really wonder if this man and his minions knew the impact and the way that he has hurt people and affected them , if he would even care. I'm assuming not, as long as his bank account grows it matters not to him the pain he has placed upon people. I rarely review anything , let alone an attorney for civil claims. I was on the receiving end of a civil claim by one of their clients. even through all the mediation attempts , their attorneys I met treated me with respect and dignity. They showed me that their offices and attorneys are human beings and after Contacting the Veterans admin, the bill was finally paid. Not once did I ever feel frustrated or upset about the "claims" process I was under going and that is because this firm was understanding of the situation and waited patiently for payment from the Veterans administration. Thank you to lotane and assoc. for treating this old veteran with respect and dignity.

These reviews look super scary but I called in yesterday first time ever and spoke to Lakiesha about setting up a payment plan in order to reinstate my license in regards to a 2006 incident. She was very informative and understanding over all very professional and may I add I think I even heard a compassionate undertone in her voice in regards to my case. I was overall well pleased with my first time experience. I really hope these horrible reviews are at the least mostly all twisted exaggerations because by the looks of it I will be making payments for many years to come and I really need my license to help my wife with our kids especially our disabled son plus I haven't had my license in almost 10 years now, that's crazy. Rating - minus 10 stars! Blood suckers who thrive off suing poor people who can't afford health insurance and have to go to the ER. They serve you a summons on behalf of the rich hospitals and you either adhere to their demands or have a judgment entered against you. The hospital records indicated that a doctor spoke with us (and did not) and we waited for 6 hours in the waiting room (finally left with no real treatment). Hospital would not do anything to fix records or reduce the bill ($2,000 for an EKG and chest x-ray) and the next thing we know, these scumbag lawyers serve summons. Tried to call their office and they refused to speak with us or negotiate a reduced amount (as should have been corrected). This firm is not here to help anyone but the hospital board so they can make bigger salaries.

a fraudulent client of theirs somehow sued me for 5000 dollars and won because i didnt have any money or legal representation at the time. i now pay 154 dollars every single month and if i fail to make a payment they will suspend my license, and act like ive paid nothing toward my debt. they have a huge amount of interest added to anything you pay as well, everytime i make a payment i end up losing like 30 dollars. this place is full of nothing but rude scam artists. if i could rate 0 stars i would.

When you send them a check postdated, they don't hang on to it for an extra day to cash it. Instead they send it back to you and force you to waste another stamp. When you do send them a check and want it cashed, they take over one week to cash the check. Then when you call them before your deadline each month because they have taken so long to cash the check, you have to wait half an hour to talk to a live human being while the most annoying music in the world is playing. I know they are not that busy. They are not easy to deal with.

Very unpleasant people, because I owed them $100.00 by 1 day when I call on Friday to make my payment the girl at the office told me they were sending my license to get suspended and that I needed to now pay them $349.00, now take it my license is not suspended yet and I'm trying to pay them. they are very un professional .. this is the second time they do this to me I already had to pay them $349.00 not to have my license suspended.. and now they do it again I feel like they are just scamming me of my money just because they are lawyers and have the ability to just suspend your license so easily.. and forces one to always pay $349.00...

Not a place I would ever consider doing business with unless I had no choice as I do now. They claim to care about the customers, but I assure you they do not. They claim to reach out to customers when something might be incorrect but that's not true. Called them with a problem on my account and was told we called you sir. I ask when was this because I surely did not receive a call and was told hold on I will get that information for you. Just to have the rep come back to me and so OH Im sorry I don't see ANY calls made to you noted in the system.
