A friend of mine recommended miss Portland for a divorce I went and saw her she told me it would be $3800 retainer they never told me it was nonrefundable receptionist told me if I change my mind I would get my money back i’m not saying she’s a bad attorney that when it comes the money the money comes first I went and borrowed the money to pay her i live week to week like a lot of Americans in this country she told me she would send me a check for $1000 when I got the check it was for 500 I really don’t see how people like that sleep at night miss Portwood you should do the right thing cause you know your daughter your receptionist told me I would get a full refund you didn’t have to do anything you never filed any papers or anything what you did wrong you will stand up for God I would never recommend you to anybody

I hired Rhonda to resolve a divorce matter and we paid her requested retainer an she was supposed to file the case immediately an after two weeks passed no actions nor was a case filed in the citrus courts after inquiring on the status we were told we would receive a call back from Rhonda on the progress which we never received this all began in on nov 4th 2019 we have still no case number or anything being filed nor has she been noted on that Rhonda was the attorney on my case . After one month of no call back I decided to consult another attorney. When I asked the office to just refund the remaining balance of are retainer she then explained that there would be no refund an I was charged for all calls an visits to office to see Rhonda an was avoided an charged this lawyer as been using money’s inappropriately an scamming people in a very difficult time . When we arrived at the office this morning the receptions was very rude an threw an object striking my friend in the back as we were leaving there office .i have filed a dispute with my financial institution to revert the charge made by her office . An files a complaint with the Florida bar for misuse of funds for work not performed nor should I be charged for phone calls nor visits when I have not spoken to the attorney. The bar should reprimand her for her misuse of her obligations as a barred attorney. I do not recommend the use of this attorney for unprofessionalism an misconduct. Please use diligent research an reviews to choose a repeatable attorney for ur legal needs I a single father of six during Christmas time have been robbed of money that was supposed to be for a legal matter that now I have to take my Christmas Monies to hire another attorney. My fiance and I Have spent over $10,000 with this joke of an attorney for 50/50 custody of my fiance's children. Stay away from this attorney if you ever want anything done in court to benefit the lives of your children. She doesn't return phone calls, does side deals instead of actually going to trial because" she really didn't feel like going to trial today". Run from this attorney. She is lazy, slow to file anything and uniformed. She does not have her clients best interests at heart. My fiance and I are currently being blackmailed by this attorney to get our paperwork back. We are sending off all our complaints with evidence to the florida bar association and I suggest every one of her clients who has been done wrong by her to do the same. She should be disbarred!!!
