Had this lawyer for almost 2 years as a disability lawyer did not contact me until 2 weeks before my case hearing.Shows up 5 minutes before my hearing saying we have a problem, you made to much money and he has me sign a paper canceling my hearing. Saying that is a shame because you had a perfect case.I met with him once in the 2 years and that was 5 minutes before my hearing. This is a horrible group, never returns calls, never informs you of anything. They new before my hearing that I made to much money, they could have told me. Choose another lawyer, this group is aweful.

Very helpful. This law firm is wonderful. Their main office is located in Daytona, Florida- but they represent clients all over the state and actually come to you at your home,office, or location that you choose and are comfortable with most. They have awesome legal aids that travel to you for your free consultation and walk you through the necessary steps in order to begin the process of your disability claim. They have a few satellite offices as well if prefer that type of environment. Their very prompt, outgoing and human so they are able to explain the full process from start to finish and what needs to be done, also knowledgeable in the length of time (generally speaking)of the length of time it takes with success and otherwise the overall time it would or could take to receive your first deposits of your financial aid from the disability process (although no two cases are the same as the other)
I would suggest if your looking for someone to help you and your a busy person who is financially strapped, they are perfect for you. They are on the ball from the beginning and keep it rolling, and send you your packets a.s.a.p for you to to get filled out and send it back to them and they take it from there again. Most firms I spoke with explained that it would be a lengthy process but my case moved twice as fast as anyone else I've heard who went through the battle with the social security disability prices. They also handle multiple defenses in other fields of legal situations

Have to change my review. As far as my accident, nothing could have been done. But God took justice in that situation.
Now for my Social security part, it was a 2 year wait and getting denied. But patience was the key to the situation. I was given more than what i ever imagined. The wait was well worth it. Even thought about getting another lawyer but also was told that both law firms would've gotten a portion of the settlement. (Not sure how true that maybe). But thank you guys for putting in the work! ✊

Anyone applying for disability should be prepared to be initially denied by SSA, patience can be frustrating but is a virtue :) I just got approved yesterday and as long as anyone applying updates them with relevant information, they do what they earn their percentage for. The hearing was less than 20 mins, the paralegal Ms. Devon returned contact without fail and my attorney was easy to understand at the hearing. The SSA is to blame for the long 2 year process, not the attorneys and if you just let R&S handle things and realize they have other clients as well, it will work out in the end.

The paralegals I've talked to have all been wonderful when I've managed to reach them. However, talking to a real person seems to be some kind of sick game, where no matter what number you call, you are always on hold and the queue never shortens. It's a fitting metaphor for purgatory or other endless realms of ennui.

I just went to my SSI hearing after waiting 27 months. Stephanie Sweet was my attorney and she was absolutely AMAZING. I was a nervous wreck and she took her time and explained everything to me then there was a mix up and I left a message and she called me back the same day and was able to tell me the GREATEST news... I want to thank Mr Shiffman, Michelle, and the paralegals who worked on my case to help me get my disability approved. It was a long, hard battle. But they fought for 2 years for my family and I. When other law firms wouldn't take my case. Any time I called the office, the staff were always courteous and sympathetic. I always received my callbacks in a reasonable time if I wasn't able to speak with someone immediately. Michelle drove hours to come to my home state to get my case started. In 2 yrs had contact with a person twice. They filed an appeal for my ssi claim then i got a letter today saying they are dropping my case because i was working...an average of 12 hrs a week because guess why??? IM SICK! ive been on FMLA for 2 yrs for my IBS stomach issues, taking 3 meds for that, seeing a therapist and taking 6-7 different meds for anxiety ptsd and depression but ya, im good thanks for nothing. GO ELSEWHERE!

Do not waste your time with these people. When you call you will be on hold forever and When someone does answer, your paralegal will always be away from their desk. My social security case was dismissed bc they were not sending required documents from my doctors or physical therapist. I reported every time I went to the doctors or had pt and they never reached out to get my documents but lied and told me they did. They wasted months of my time and energy. RUN!!!! Wish i could give no stars!

Not sure why all the negativity is going on here - EVERYONE knows ANY kind of lawsuit takes TIME! Especially when finding fault with another party and/or disability cases. Nothing is going to happen overnight and/or within a week OR month. You've got to give them time to work for YOU! I'm a client as well - I get answers and call backs probably because I'm not rude and disrespectful to them. We've ALL got issues/problems or we wouldn't have an atty representing us.......... In Jan 2018 I took my son to a Social Security determination hearing. Mr Shiffman was there and did not have my son on his books. Looked into the hearing and said the judge had an emergency and had to cancel the hearing but my son was up for a fast hearing date. We called in feb. no answer back. We called in March no answer back. Every month with no answer back. Then we received a letter from social security for another court date. Received a letter from the attorney about date. Tried to call again. No answer as usual. We went to the hearing today to find out that the firm had pulled from my sons case back in Jan 2017 we said what are you talking about. we asked to defer the appointent until we could get an attorney to take the case. i have never seen such unprofessional behavior from a suppose to be professional firm. i just don't get how hard it is to pick up phone and make a phone call.

I felt underrepresentation here during the deposition the attorney that was appointed to my case never said one word I think half the time he wasn't on the phone they didn't show up they did a phone deposition with the defense belittling me and I have to ask where they working for the defense to settle the case I never got the paperwork from the judge saying I waited too long to file that's what they told me and I should take the settlement I would never again come here and I suggest you find other people to take care of your case maybe I'll local independent attorney instead of these big Corporation attorneys like Morgan & Morgan in these people stay away

Have a caae was told they already filed a apeal was a month ago. Never hears from them tries to call several times. Today i looked on social security's web site aee no recors of apeal filed so i called aocial security nope no apeal has been filed. Just had 2nd heart attack. Jad stiches removed from my head trauma.. Was on hold for 15minutes said would have a call back in 24 to 48 hours. Well cant even tell them of my new health issues. How do they except for me to keep calling qhen i foto hoapitials qhen all i do is atay on hold?

First off, disability case's SSDI/SSI take time. As far as doctor appointments, medical treatment, the client needs to stay on top. My case took over 2 years untill I had my disability hearing, and met my lawyer face to face. Devon, manages the disability Dept, she always returned my calls, and I always did my job over the 2year period, of giving her updates, as she did also. I signed ALL my medical information releases and made sure the law office wouldn't have any problem accessing my info.. Over 2 years, my hearing date finally was set. My lawyer lady she was the best, contacted me a few times by phone, answering my questions, told me not to worry... All I can say is Job well done, she knew her business, very pleased with the final outcome. You have to be a team player to get good results. Thanks to a great team, Rotstein+Shiffman.

Ok I received an up on my case and was told I would be contacted to reschedule an appointment to start everything all over with my disability case. That was Aug 22nd. I told her if your ofc don't want to help me fine since yall haven't done anything since April... April 2018... all most a 1yr and a half.. I AM ABOUT TO MY END!!! ARE YALL GOING TO HELP ME ARE NOT??? This seems to be the only way to get a response from yall....

I am a client from a few years back and I am currently recommending R&S to a friend. My experience was excellent. My phone calls were always answered and if I had to leave a message for the paralegal she always got back to me. Emails were always answered. My intake interview was done very well. A representative came to my house answered all of my questions, assisted me through each and every one of the forms. I had no complaints from day one. I'm not sure about other individuals cases but my mine went smoothly. I had my disability decision in just over nine months. That is including the initial denial that everyone receives.
Maybe some problems arise for cases due to documentation problems or gaps in treatment? I had a span of nearly twenty years of documentation of my medical issues from a slew of different doctors. I had all the names, numbers and the explanations of each step over those years. But the legal team did all the footwork of collecting and assembling it all together. So maybe the problems others run in to is not doing your homework and being prepared.

I wish I could give a review of no stars because that is what this shameful excuse of a law firm deserves! I was a client of them for a disability claim and after waiting 2 years and hearing nothing from them in that entire time I get a notice from them the day I get my hearing date that they were dropping my case! They were never available by phone at any time even when I called for an explanation.

I have just got off the phone with a young lady from this office and she was very polite and nice. She made sure she was thorough And asked a lot of questions which I was scared about answering but she definitely made it easy to speak to her. She answered all the questions I had at that time. I am very, very pleased on this process so far. I am looking forward to working with them on my case and seeing how everything else goes.
I have to say, I apologize for forgetting the young lady I spoke with today, but she was very good at her job. I also just got off the phone with her boss for them to set up my appointment and another wonderful voice. I was and am a little worried going into this process but they are making the process bearable. So with that being said. Thank you.

I gave them a 1 star cause I couldn't give them any lower rating. I wouldn't recommend this firm to represent a dog. They had my case for over a year I was appealing a denial. Turns out they really screwed up my appeal. They said to go for SSDI not SSI so I could get more money. So I told them about every appt and every new x ray. They were supposed to call me when it got closer to my hearing. Never heard from them. I called about a month before my hearing just to have the girl tell me they dropped my case. When I called back to get my file they gave me the run around . finally the girl told me that SSA had all my records. I told her I wanted to have what they had so that I knew going in. She said well we sent For some records but never got them. I went to my hearing thinking I had everything so didn't need a representative. I ended up getting denied. I got a new lawyer for this appeal and they told me I should've been going for SSI not SSDI. Cause I haven't worked in awhile. These idiots never bothered to explain anything to me and screwed up my appeal. I make sure I tell everyone NOT TO TAKE THESE IDIOTS as representatives. They will just screw up then drop you to cover their screw up. I also forgot to add that I was never told they dropped my case. I just happened to call them to give some information to them and was told they dropped me. I never received a notice or letter in the mail like they told me. They said they sent me one well I never got one. If I hadn't called I would never have known. Then I would've gone to my hearing thinking I had a representative. Very unprofessional. And when I called I never knew who was handling my case I would ask to speak to whoever was handling it at the time just to find out it was a different person. From reading these reviews they seem to have an answer for everything bottom line though is they aren't equipped to handle anything.

I not going to get on here and bash the company i know you guys' have a lot of cases work-load of paper work and phone calls..but rightnow i'm considering on finding another attorney because i don't like the way my case is being handled there was no communication between theblaw firm and Social Security..i got denied Febuary 4th and april 30th..though my old attorney and i have had you guys Representing me since Febuary 2019" and they sent both denyed letters to my old attorney Heard and Smith..what that say no communication.

Okay so where do I start with this okay I'll start by saying this Law Firm is no good they don't help you they don't read the proper paperwork they don't breathe each other they just won't cases if they can win you only get to talk to you paralegal you won't get to talk to your lawyer and then on top of that they will send you text messages that are robots not an actual person will stay on hold for over 20 minutes every time trying to get a hold of somebody I stayed on hold over 2 hours more than 5 times got. hung up on in the last 6 months u email them they don't email you back they lie to you constantly they tell you that they got everything took care of and it's not they just want to drag you along for the Cash Cow they tell you that they're there to help you how are they there to help you when they don't even give you doctor's appointments or help you get doctor's appointments the worst part about it is you go to people like this for help and all they do is take advantage of you and you're the one needing help

Had to find parking and office is dirty. I have never been able to talk to an attorney only the paralegal. When I call they dont call back for days. And they are not very attentive. No one seems to know what is going on. They keep switching case workers I have had 5 different ones in two years.

In regards to the many negative reviews, I have never had any problems contacting Dale or Jon. Really the underlying factor is as follows; if you would like a question answered, email works best. You have my word, they will reply within a timely manner. Questions do arise however, they are the professionals and believe they handle business.
