Intake coordi ators are friendly and you get referrals for lawyers by specialty.Called from NYC and was able to connect via them to a practitioner in Orange County FLA.

I have used the referral service twice and both times have been very pleased. I had the pleasure of meeting two different lawyers and both were very compassionate and knowledgeable.

Like others, this review is for the high frequency speakers they put outside because apparently the Orange County Bar Association hates dogs is spiteful and childish.

I called, and met the requirements, for an attorney at a "low income" rate, paid $25 on the spot. I asked questions about getting an attorney who charges based on income, was told they don't know what the attorney rates are. Immediately recieved an email with attorney contact info. Referred attorney called me and charges $250 hrly!! He sounds like a great Attorney, and will worth hiring. But...this was a total and complete loss. Not happy with the services at all!! I did not receive what I paid for. Orange County Bar resources are a joke!

I had to pay $50 for an attorney referral only to learn from that attorney that the amount of money the state of Florida owes my family is less than what it would cost us in attorney fees to collect it. In my opinion, that is WRONG and it should be illegal. When my sister and I are the only heirs to our father's money, the state of Florida should not be able to keep it. This was money he clearly forgot about, or was unaware of, or he would have claimed it before he died! Why should we have to pay an attorney or anyone else to collect money that rightfully belongs to us?? It's absolutely pitiful.

Every time I call these people and explain my issue they do not help at all. They don’t look into the laws to figure anything out. They assume they know everything and have a very arrogant demeanor. If your looking for a lawyer do a quick google search and stay away from these guys. They told a friend of mine he had no case and didn’t even bother to refer him. 7 months later he settled for $75,000 on the same issue these guys told him wasn’t a case. Be careful.

I tried to find an attorney to handle my unique situation. After many hours of research and many phone calls I couldn't find an attorney that had the experience in resolving my issue. Contacted OCBA and they matched me with an attorney in 5 minutes that had experience in the area I was looking for. I highly recommend going to OCBA.

Little if any legal advice provided unless you can pay $$$$$$$ - sadly. When you ask about foreclosure you are encourage to participate in some sort of mediation meeting - AND "YOU" have to pay $250.00. If you don't attend they send you a letter that says you refused which is most cases is not the truth - the truth people CANNOT AFFORD $250.00.
What happens if a person DOES NOT HAVE THE MONEY? Then they are out of luck. $250.00 who is a senior citizen with health issues and does not have that money available is tragic - another potential senior looking at homelessness

Would highly suggest if you're looking for a lawyer then you can start with their website. they can help determine what type of lawyer you need and the specialty that is required and then get you in contact for free consultation. Please still use your due diligence and look up their references however would highly recommend this organization.

Today everyone is out to make a dollar, charge you for everything and anything, when sometimes all you need is someone to listen to your situation. I reached out to several attorneys, the ones who finally responded, were very quick to mention the need for a retainage fee, this is before even hearing my situation. Alberto Lugo-Janer heard everything I had to say, he said he was sorry this happened to be , then openly and honestly explained my options without commitment, or requesting retainage etc. This is the kind of attorney I want representing me in the future if I ever had a situation that requires one. My advice to others ignore the fancy commercial attorneys that you see on the billboards and in commercials, the one that say they started with just a few and now are thousands. Because they pay for all that out of your pocket without hesitation of concern for your situation. Thank you Mr Lugo-Janer for your time, honesty and advice.

Clifford Geismar gave me all the advice and direction I needed to handle my problem on my own. If I can't resolve it on my own, I'll go back to him.

I really wonder if there is a law-abiding criminal justice system in Orlando. we all know if a person with mental sickness commits a crime they should be given an evaluation to determine competency to stand trial, and if not, given proper medical treatment and evaluation before judgement. the reason im making this point is, after thumbing through the Orlando sentinel crime and mug shot photos, anybody can detect dozens of arrested individuals clearly in need of mental evaluation and im betting most if any receive fare judicial proceedings that take into account their mental health! it's cost effective to just lock up the mentally ill as opposed to getting them the mental health evaluation , care, and legal rights they're entitled to, before being judged and sent to jail, most on a revolving bases, because that would cost the city money it systemically refuse to spend on the poor and needy, so the poor rights get violated and mentally ill people get locked away in jail because it's cheaper than affording healthcare. both violations of the citizens human rights in Orlando. and the lawyers seem to only chase safe- accident insurance claims, devaluing and exacerbating claimants rights and auto insurance costs. so im at the conclusion, in Orlando, few if any attorneys, legal aid, or courts works in the interest of justice. and ACLU and it's ilk-NAACP just don't care!

Building emits a high pitched frequency that completely ruins the street ambiance. Makes walking around the North Quarter and sitting outside at local businesses unbearable.

I can’t even open my windows to enjoy the nice weather without inviting in the obnoxious noise this building emits with complete disregard for the community it is located in.

Apparently it is to keep dogs away? It’s not like the North’s Quarter has a stray dog problem.

Why pay $50.00 for a name and number? Even if you pay chances are the lawyers referred will not take your case. Now you lost $50.00, no lawyer and back at square one. BTW - Do not listen to the five (5) reviews, because those are fake compliments about the Orange County Bar Association. Probably a fake company posting high-star reviews, so consumers continue to call. Wake up people!

You as a bar association are a disgrace for those that need help. You charge $50 just to give a name of a lawyer. You are not here for the community you are here for greed of the money. And then hang up on the call because me saying this isn't conducive to your Zen. No good no help what so ever.

The bar has several programs to help the community and its members. The lawyer referral service and citizens dispute panel are just two great examples!
