He was so very thoughtful and kind. He made me feel like I was a priority and that we could accomplish exactly what needed to be done. His staff is above top notch as well! If anyone is needing a family lawyer without the hassle of being pushed and taken advantage of then Mr. Godley is the one to see!!

I recently used the services of Godley Law Firm to resolve a dispute that had dragged out for years. Other attorneys in the area either could not or would not handle my situation properly. I found the entire staff extremely professional. They gave me a level of comfort I have never experienced in one of the most difficult times of my life. Honestly, biggest waste of money in my life. And I hate having anything negative to say about anyone. I read all these 5 star reviews and thought, "Yes. This is my guy. He will get what needs to be done to keep my children safe." Originally I was quoted $3500, no problem, that's pretty standard. $5300 later, we still haven't gone to court and I just didn't have the extra cash to keep paying for NOTHING. We never went to court and I ended up having to settle for a standard out of state agreement. Turns out, my children's father had a DUI that I was never told about, his second one I may add. Mr. Godley told me that the judge would give my ex the benefit of the doubt and would continue to allow the kids visitation with their dad, IN ALASKA, until he gives the judge a reason not to. So a DUI is not enough, I have to continue to send my kids 4500 miles away every summer, and just pray they don't get into a fatal accident. So thank you Mr. Godley for wasting my money and failing to do your job as a lawyer and find this stuff out. I don't know what exactly it was that I paid you for, but I hope you enjoy all that money. Not like I could have used it to raise my 3 kids or continue my nursing education or anything ‍♀️

I just hired Mr. Godley and he and his staff felt at ease, he even gave me a hug at the end of our meeting . I paid several thousands of dollars to another local lawyer and all she did was take my money and also appeared to side with my ex. I recommend anyone looking for a good honest family lawyer (who is also a darn good musician) go see Mr. Godley and staff.

I highly recommend this firm. Mr. Godley and his staff are amazing. I had another atty in Lake Charles for 7 months, paid alot of money and was misled and lied to. Thank goodness for Mr. Godley and his staff, they were patient, informative and handled my case with care with care and compassion. Because of this staff my family has protection.

Mr. Godley is one of the VERY FEW Attorneys that is honest. He explains things in a way that you can understand and takes his time to be sure you do. I have used many attorneys for myself and family in the past. He is literally the smartest, most compassionate and the least egotistical attorney that I have ever dealt with.
