The only reason I’m giving this person 1 star at all is because there’s not a way to give a zero stars or negative even. She was the WORST attorney ever! I met her before I had a decent Budget, and had to find a discount and dirt cheap atty. you get what you pay for. She was Rude, unprofessional, and emotionally unstable. Her receptionist was racist- or just had really bad attitude all the time. She cried almost every time I saw her- in court. In her office she’d only converse w me after verbally attacking me and insulting me to the point where my anxiety was out of control. Then it was like an interrogation. She told me that I did something to deserve the abuse I received from my husband. She was embarrassing representation. She said that my case was so unfair that it made her want to quit her career. She did quit my case. After taking my money, and not returning the unused portion of the retainer. Only hire her if you want to lose your case, be humiliated, and abused by her and her staff. She dresses unprofessionally and inappropriately, in a way that is tacky, cheap, and suggests promiscuity. And she also has a reputation as a nutcase among her colleagues. Several excellent attorneys I’ve spoken to knew exactly who she was when I asked them if they knew her. They all more or less said the same thing. That she is completely crazy.

Attorney Shonda Jones is the most courteous attorney I have met. She has compassion for her clients and is direct and honest. She takes the time to listen and understand what her client is going through. She discusses your options with you and she was available every time I contacted her. She is wonderful at her job. I had my son for almost 8 years and was still paying child support, I ended up in court and thank God I had Ms. Jones as my lawyer. I got full custody and my child's mother ended up having to pay child support. If you want the job done and want it done right and by someone who cares your best and first choice should be Attorney Shonda Jones. If I need any further services I definitely would return to her!!!!!!!

Stay away from this attorney!! Please people beware!! She is so unprofessional it is indescribable. First off if she has a legitimate problem from one of her clients she will not claim that client and swear she never knew the person. I paid this lady to be my attorney and represent me and she did a horrible job, she actually turned on me during my child support trail and started asking questions and doing things verbally that helped the other person in my case. I have proof this lady took my case and did a terrible job! My life is so busy I haven't had the time to file and follow up complaints to the Bar Association and she banks on that being a common situation because I know others were discouraged by the process. Bottom line do intensive research on this so called malpracticing attorney before retaining her. She picks and choses how well she will represent a client based on her personal feelings or conclusion about the person, yet she will still take your money and smile like she's on the job when she barely looks at your file once leaving her office. Honestly the only thing she can do to half way satisfy me and bring any closure to the situation is "Give me my money back" so I can try and forget I ever met this awful/worst excuse for an attorney. That's if she has money to reimburse because if she does business with me the way she does business with everyone else then I see why she has to steal money and misrepresent people. Barely anyone is retaining her because yhe word is spreading and once you have a bad name as a attorney then it's over and down hill from that point. Save yourself a lot of trouble and leave tbis woman where you found her, advertising on Craigslist or something...and I'm so Serious!!

I do not know this person. No situation occurred which they are describing. I would recommend that you go to the Harris County District Clerk's site and put in that person's name as a Petitioner or Defendant and see if (1) they exist and (2) if my name is associated with this "person." If I really did what they accused me of, why didn't they file a complaint with the State Bar of Texas? Because this never happened.

I was referred to Attorney Jones for help with my divorce, I honestly did not know what to expect.
