Jay Cohen is the best criminal defense lawyer there is! I searched all over google to find a lawyer after I got arrested for DWI. I talked to a lot on the phone and made appointments with three other lawyers in Houston. I’m not a review person but I want everyone to know how great Blass Law is. I met with Jay and he was always straight up with me about everything. The price was expensive but I had to hire him, I have a CDL and I can’t afford to be out of work. We went to court and Jay knows everyone in court, the judge, prosecutor, lots of people come up to ask him questions. The license hearing was next, I didn’t go to that but Jay called and said it was dismissed. We met 3 times at the office and reviewed all of the stuff he got about my case, the cops, the person who called 911 and my bad video. I called so many more and Jay always set a time to talk to me about my case. Jay even calls just to see how everything is going. Best DWI lawyer in houston! Jay Cohen is the best of everyone. I had a felony DWI third charge that Jay got dismissed! Not my first time in trouble so I decided to hire the best lawyer and so glad I did. Couldn’t ever get a job again if I had a felony. Luckily my friend had used Jay to help him beat a drug case so I knew I could trust him. I been through this so I know lots of resets before anything happens. I was at the Blass law office and watched my video and didn’t think it would go well. Jay said to wait and not worry about it. We go to court and Jay walks out all serious then says dismissed, I couldn’t stop crying so happy. Jay Cohen is the best there is.

Best outcome I could have imagined! I can't express in words how much of a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. After getting arrested and charged with a felony for possession of drugs I thought my future was over. I imagined filling out job applications and having to say I have been convicted of a felony only to later be rejected for the job. I thought my life was going down the toilet.

I read reviews, watched all of the videos, some of those are pretty funny, some he tries to be funny but doesn't pull it off. So I decided to make an appointment, I talked to Leslie and she scheduled a time for me to go to the office. The office is downtown by the court, it's in one of those historic buildings. In our meeting I asked about other cases like mine and Jay told me a little about them and how those different situations went. Lawyers just say everything depends on this or that, and I get it, every situation is different. There is not a lot to talk about until the lawyer has police reports and everything. What mattered to me is I had a good feeling, Jay is very detailed and talks too much. He really likes what he does and it shows.

I hired Jay, paid a small fortune and he went to court with me. It didn't take long, he knows everyone in court which made me feel a little better. Nothing happened for a few months and then I went back to his office to talk about everything. This is when I started to feel better. Jay said he thought we could win this. I guess like many people needing an attorney, we were forced into a world we never expected to be and knew nothing about. An adult grandson who had never been in any kind of trouble suddenly found himself facing two separate felonies. Jay personally walked me through that first horrible night by phone telling me about bonding companies, how to know when he was released etc.
Because Jay was diligent enough and cared enough to prepare a grand jury packet, the first felony was no-billed by the grand jury.
The second felony was reduced to a misdemeanor with two years deferred adjudication/probation.
