He gets the job done. I have used him as a mediator for over 20 years because my cases get settled. It is a fact that both the complainant and defense have to go hard core on their position to not show their cards and because Richard has settled almost every case I have ever brought to him I have to assume the insurance defence attorneys think the same way- Richard gets us to the place where we both know is the right number to settle although we can't show that number card to each other but let the mediator (Richard) work to get us there. I don't think I or my repeat defense attorneys would keep using him if we both didn't get the result we wanted. In the rare occasion we don't settle our case, Richard takes it upon himself to keep calling us until he gets the case settled. He often calls each party before the mediation to learn about the facts and starts working towards a settlement before our scheduled date.Recently, a week before a scheduled mediation, he started a back and forth between me and the defense attorney to try to work towards a settlement. And I need to add that my clients are happy to not have to go downtown, to have free parking, plenty of inside and outside space to walk around while the process takes place, and he has a free snack and coffee bar and provides lunch with personalized ordering when we have a full day mediation.

I really like my lawyer but his office is downtown and getting there and parking is a hassle. We went to mediation before our trial setting to see if we could come to an agreement before we had to go to trial. I went to Richard Sparr on the recommendation of a friend to review what I thought was a pretty straight forward contract I was about to enter into. Richard pointed out a lot of ways that the contract was written in favor of the other party and many ways that left me exposed to liability .
