BEWARE. Used Russell in a family law case. Let me see where to start. On multiple occasions couldn’t remember the basic facts of my case. Bungled the paperwork to request for jurisdiction to transfer the case closer to us. Had to revisit Houston twice, once even driving him there. Showed up late 3 out of 4 hearings. FIRST quotes $5k. I pay, then says he needs $10k. I pay. Then says he needs $30k. I don’t have it. Then says it’s ok because I probably wouldn’t win my custody case anyway. THEN offered me $50 gift card to the steakhouse for a good review.???
Lawyers like this give lawyers in general a bad name. I feel like this attorney is money hungry and incompetent. I wouldn’t recommend hiring this attorney at all.

My experience with this law firm was quite disappointing.
After accepting my divorce case back in 2016, these guys sat on my case for months, exceeding deadlines upon deadlines and giving me excuses after excuses. At some point, they even put my case aside and began working on other cases, after taking a considerable amount of money from me. To make matters worse, they even started working against me during the divorce procedure. I wasn't sure if they saw me as a client or as an adversary. I wish I could give them a negative star review.

Russ set reasonable fees and was helpful in walking us through the probate process. He is professional, responsible, and likable, attributes that are too rare in professionals. I highly recommend Russ Amsberry for your estate and family planning needs.
