Sincerely, Juan Alvarado and Teresa Lerma..
God Bless all of you..
If you are in need of legal assistance, I can not urge you enough to do yourself a huge favor and call the Law Offices of Geroge C, Ruiz. While seeking counsel, I went online and found a number of over-priced and under-rated attorneys here in San Antonio. Fortunately, someone recommended an Awesome Lawyer named Beau Fiegel.
Despite being a world class father, my oldest son's Mom was wrongfully denying me custody of our son. Our first day in court Beau got the whole situation remedied including full make-up time and some financial reimbursement as well. I was overwhelmed by his ability to reassure and calm me and precisely demonstrate how my ex had undermined the court order that was in effect for years. I had been in family court a number of times prior to this and had never had such a successful experience.
The entire staff was friendly and very helpful.
BEAU FIEGEL - THE LEGAL EAGLE!
When I first consulted with Mr. Ruiz I was not charged for the consult and he spent a little over 45 mins with me. He listened to my concerns and kept me on track with what was important and want didn't really matter. He was very direct and didn't just tell me what I wanted to hewr. He told me about his professional experiences in cases such as mine. He was even able to tell me that he has worked approx. 800 cases since he opened his firm in San Antonio. In court he always seemed very prepared. I did not speak to him often during the pendency of my case but rather the paralegal and only when we went to court. Which I later understood was to help keep my cost down. THAT is amazing he runs the business to make money but also seems to want to help you stay within budget. I spent overall $4,589.00 for a major custody battle. Also spent $2,000 for an evaluator of our homes. Mr. Ruiz even gave me a good client discount of 10% it was on my last invoice.
When I signed my contract and paid his fee Candy Ryan was assigned as my paralegal. I received a call from her the day after and it seemed she had already be informed of my case details. Her and Mr. Ruiz are a perfect together a get team. They seemed to communicate well about my case because Mr. Ruiz always seemed informed at court and vice versa. Candy always returned my calls within 24 hours but within minutes typically if I emailed. Candy kept me updated and also help me stay on task. Often Candy would spend 15 or 20 mins with me just listing to me blabbering. Some reviews I read mentioned her being rude so I expected an ugly paralegal thinkinh oh lord at first but she was never rude however very direct and not concerned with feelings but rather providing a great service and helping to keep realistic goals. She seemed to have vast knowledge as a paralegal and a lot of relatedable life experiences.
The rest of the staff was great as well. They seemed to pass on notes and also communicate with my paralegal because my calls were returned. The office was always clean and orderly. There office has a very family like feel everyone smiling and all seemed to love they're jobs. Very enthusiastic team.
Case Facts: Father history of drugs violance and alcohol. Mother (me) history of drugs but clean for 4 years. Child 3 years old.
Result: Supervised visits with a step up if father did well so I didn't have to pay to come back. It starts over if he messes up. Mr. Ruiz really tailored my order to my child's needs.
Overall my experience was well beyond what I ever expected. This office will be my go to should I ever need service again.
Thank you for all your help!!
They are passionate and you can tell that they love what they do.
He settled my case very promptly! I couldn’t have picked a better attorney! Thank you Mr. Ruiz!

Muy buen abogado me ayudó muchísimo con mi caso !
We hired him in late February and they are still working hard on our case. His paralegal Beau has worked his tail off to compile pertinent information that's needed for our case.
Candy has also been kind, understanding, and is working with us as we work toward paying our retainer.
This law firm cares about their client(s) and that means a lot
My only complaint is that he is very busy and the contact is last minute with urgency which can be unsettling when you are new to the legal system. Don’t hire him if you are not going to trust him and let him do his job. He will not run up a bill with chit chat or unnecessary communication. If you need a hand holder this is not the guy. That being said he is always on top of the game and never misses a deadline.. He is honorable and knowledgeable. Straight forward is an understatement but he’s not your therapist he is a brilliant attorney who sticks to the facts that matter and have a legal basis, he will cut you off on the frivolous fluff that so many clients want to vent about, this will save you money in the end. He is well respected in the community and has earned this respect following the values of his faith and commitment to his vocation.
The Law Office of George C Ruiz, to include his staff, (Candy), have made this difficult time in my life (divorce), a lot more at ease for myself. They have been there when I needed advice suddenly because of the toxic relationship I was in. I have even contacted on wknds at 11pm and they were responsive within minutes to guide me of what to do. Mr. Ruiz moved quickly to get specific orders filed so my children and I were in a safe environment. I want to thank you Mr. Ruiz and you’re staff for helping me during this difficult time. I’m appreciative and blessed God guided me in the right direction for legal advice.
Before signing the Retainer Agreement, I interviewed Ruiz. He seemed attentive when listening to me and asked questions about my case. He took notes on a yellow pad. This meeting left me with a false impression that Ruiz would take good care of my case, keep me informed and updated, and fight for my interest. It turned out, during the entire period, Ruiz barely communicated with me. Emails and voice messages were left with no responses. Setting up meetings with him was nearly impossible. For people seeking help from attorneys, it is reasonable to expect legal help and some education about the legal matters related to their cases. Ruiz gave me no updates, not to mention providing any information that helped me better understand my case. He struggled to have full knowledge of my case. Ruiz was ill equipped to handle the documents sent to him and interpret them in a way that could help him in this case. He simply asked his assistant to print them out and put in a binder. The yellow pad from my first interview with him was the only source he ever referred to in several important occasions afterwards. Ruiz didn't provide me with any legal advice on what strategy I should use to win the case. Ruiz failed to demonstrate his slightest care for my case.
Candy Ryan was delegated to process my case. Her inability of deliver what she promised made working with this firm even more frustrated and painful. Candy seemed to be either a pathological procrastinator (if not a liar) or knew how to take advantage clients' trust on her words and promises. She delayed processing and filing the paperwork for no reason, and dragged my case on for several extra months, which were absolutely unnecessary. When checking with her, she either ignored my requests or gave me deadlines that she never met. Due to her procrastination, I ended up with significant financial loss in my case. Frustrated by her delays, I had no choice but to figure out how to handle some paperwork myself. It turned out the time required was minimal and was not complicated at all. Due to the chaos and unprofessionalism of this firm, one critical document was filed even without my signature. I wish I could have known Candy has criminal record, as other reviewer disclosed. Nobody will entrust a person who has criminal background to handle their legal case.
Other two staff, Michelle and Stacy were equally incompetent and rude. If this review is not convincing enough, an additional telltale sign of this unprofessional firm is to look at the responses they used to post to those poor reviews. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against hiring this firm.
And I solved my case very soon I recommend them

George C. Ruiz es un buen abogado
Y me resolvio mi caso muy pronto se los recomiendo
Thank you George
He fights to win unlike other local attorneys I have worked in the past.
Thank you!
This woman cusses out her clients and will tell you that she will bill you by the minute if she has to talk to you on the phone.
This office really struggles to communicate with their clients and their families.
