I recently went through a divorce. It was a difficult time. The staff at Barnett Woolums was wonderful. They put me at ease. Addressed all my fears. Always easy to get in touch with. I couldn't ask for better people during a stressful time in my life. Thanks to all of you at the office and special thanks to my wonderful lawyer, Erin!!!! Oh, and yes, I got a great settlement!!!

Where do I start. I have recommend this firm time and time again to my friends, family, and anyone needing a great family law firm. I had an incredibly difficult divorce, one that was very contentious and resulted in a trial, and both Barnett and Woolums far exceeded my expectations. They are top notch advocates and their reputation among professionals and the judicial bench is superior which makes a huge difference in such a contested area of law that relies on credibility. They are thoughtful and well educated, and made sure I knew the pros and cons of every decision. Additionally, they suggested various courses of actions based on what my needs were. They quickly responded to any questions or needs I had and always made me feel at ease. When so much is at stake regarding finances, timesharing, or custody you want a great, professional, understanding, and aggressive attorney, and these women fit the bill.

I came to Barnett and Woolums at a very low point in my life. My visitation rights to my son had been stripped from me. It was a very devastating and emotional time. Erin Woolums came in from the beginning displaying confidence, but all the while sympathetic to my situation. I felt comfortable moments in to our first meeting, and I immediately confided in her.
Over the course of the situation, Erin and her team were patient with me (especially when at times I could be very difficult to deal with) and displayed absolute professionalism. Everything they promised, they came through. I highly recommend this law firm. Trust in them. They won’t let you down.

I had a great experience working with Erin. The staff was always friendly and helpful throughout the course of a case that took much longer than anticipated. I asked if I could compensate her for the additional time but she declined and stuck with the rate that was contracted. I am very thankful for her and their staffs help.

I just had an unbelievable experience with E. Woolums!!! Her reputation in the courtroom is impecable!! She is respected! She has a world of experience!! No attorney can guarantee results, they can only prepare you and themselves enough to instill confidence in the process, she did that! Her staff did that!! I retained Barnett in May of2017 and had a horrid experience. I never actually met her she always sent her assistant attorney and she didn’t understand the case at all. I would reach out multiple times via email and calls and they would go unresponsive and never returned. We’ll after 2 years and a year of the case being done with (on her end I ended up speaking to another attorney to try to fix this mess) I was just ready to move on. Well the other day a mom in a moms group was looking for recommendations and her name popped up I simply stated I didn’t have a great experience with her and she never returned calls or emails. Erin, a professional attorney decided it would be appropriate to messages me through FB messenger at 6 pm insulting me, calling me liar, telling me “youre welcome” for outcome of the case and work she did. I informed her that this was extremely unprofessional to be contacting me through personal social media and her excuse was “well I didn’t want to discuss your case on a public forum”. I appreciate the attorney and client confidentiality agreement!! So after many degrading and insulting and unprofessional messages from her she asked me for the 2nd time to send her all my under answered emails. Why would I waste my time when realistically she wasn’t going to refund a dime for the overpayment and unsatisfied work from her? She even went as far as to suggest there were no unanswered emails or calls, like I have all the time in the world to make up stories for no good reason. But she had the time to look up my name pull my case and message me on FB instead of contacting me the next business day to resolve the issue professionally. I can’t stress how unsatisfied I was with my outcome and how I even told her assistant that she sent to the court hearing I wasn’t comfortable with outcome or the fact Ms. Barnett needed to be here not her assistant and her assistant never informed her of the issues. I paid for Erin not someone in training. In the past two years I moved on trying to fix the mess that was made and let it go but for an educated professional attorney to find it ok to privately message me from her personal account is disgusting and then try to justify it. I didn’t leave a review at all let alone a horrible one two years ago when I was having troubles with her. I didn’t insult her or degrade her in any manner in the pubic forum but she still felt the need to reach out to say “you’re most welcome”, basically call me a liar (stating there may not be any missed emails or calls), and by doing me service by abiding attorney and client confidentiality. I even asked/suggested a call from her office to discuss issues since “this is the first she has ever heard I was unhappy” and I’m still waiting on that call to address the issues. A lot of time has elapsed but going back through my emails and notes I have approximately 20ish phone calls were receptionist either said she would call me back or I left a message with no response and 7 -10 emails with unanswered emails by her and 2 other associates. At one point I even went to the office to try to reach her but of course that was a waste of time. Ironically the most i heard from her was when she was attacking me on social media to the point I had to ask her to stop, stating “don’t you think you have done enough insulting and degrading to me”? I’m still waiting for the professional call from her during office hours but it’s been two weeks so I won’t hold my breathe. She came highly recommended to me and said she was the best of the best. That I did not receive at all. Reality I would love to know the way she went about things is even legal/ ethical but I don’t know if have the energy physically and mentally to even bother with the stress being FT mom working FT and working on my masters. All I have left to say is truly find an attorney that you feel comfortable with and that will answered your calls and know your rights as a client because I could have put an end to this while the case was still open and possibly received my money (or partial) returned.

Attorney Woolums is amazing, her presence in the court room demands respect, the way she speaks is with confidence and experience, thank you Attorney Woolums, you gave me a second chance at life, thank you to the entire firm, without you I wouldn't be here. I could never thank you enough. I went up against an unbeatable fight and won, without this firm I would have lost a thousand times over. Thank you again, thank you for this second chance at life, eternally grateful.

Where do I start. BEWARE all they want is money. 14000.00 and still no where closer to a timesharing resolution. Ms. Barnett presents her self as a strong, go gettem, type attorney. All she going to get for you is same timesharing order you originally came in to adjust. Ms Barnett challenges nothing, even when the other parent is in contempt.When all she does is help opposing counsel, give false information to GAL. And insults, calls client stupid. Also thinks she is smarter than you. The only thing that she has is a law degree but absolutely no common sense. Run from this office. Had to retain new counsel. Oh yea unethical behavior.

If you’re looking for a personal assistant, Emily is awesome. If you’re looking for an attorney, Erin Woolums will under-represent you. Ms. Woolums owes me a lot of an overpriced retainer, but, Ms. Woolums, please don’t reply to this and charge me another $200. Emily, you’re awesome and thank you for always being the only person to respond to my emails and calls. I am a single father who had to retain a second attorney because Ms. Woolums wasn’t there for me. She didn’t show up to court dates, she had me sign over more custody than my ex has ever had, and I was always in the dark about what was going on. Even when I was assualted it took five days to get a response from her because she had a migraine. She wanted to push me through the system and collect my money. Don’t let her do it to you too.

I have worked with both Erin Woolums and Erin Barnett for the better part of the last 10 years. When you are looking for an attorney, you want someone who will truly take their time with you and put your mind and heart at ease.
