I got into trouble with the law with a felony gun charge and steven wetter the best lawyer in ft myers was very honest and straight forward i spoke with other guys before him and he seemed like the most professional and the most straight foward guy in town and beat all the other guys by a mile ! Steven Wetter is the used car sales man of attorneys. I was charged with my second DUI outside of 5 years, no breath test, no blood test, no urine test. There was also no audio or video from the officers, purely subjective evidence. The second charge was 2nd refusal to submit to breath test after license suspension in which the statute clearly states the officer MUST inform you that not only will your license be suspended again but also result in a misdemeanor charge. She did not state that there would be another charge(as stated by the narrative as well as the DMV hearing).

$5000 is what Wetter charged me in order to represent me in this case. He avoided phone calls, emails and twice I had to show up at his office in order to try and get a hold of him. It took 4 months before he even brought a plea deal to me, I wouldnt consider him good enough attorney to take anything to trial plus he requires an extra $1500 to go to trial. The day I went to court he looked like an absoloute coward, he did not stand up for me or my rights at all. He was asking the prosecutor for favors like he was a 6 year old child asking his mommy if he could play outside for longer.

My family and I were planning on moving out of state well before all this was going on. Mr Wetter had told me: “if you need to move up there, go ahead and I’ll handle everything down here”. He forgot to mention that if I would have done that I would have violated my Bond conditions with the bondsman and it could have been up to a 5 year charge for jumping bond. With time getting close to move I decided to take a plea because like I said he is not competent to take a case like this to trial and the time I soent waiting for him I could have be 1/4 done with any type of probation already. The days prior to me accepting the plea Mr. Wetter assured me and my family “dont worry about jail”. Again, I was outside of the 5 year period for the 2nd DUI, the officer DID NOT inform me of the misdemeanor charge which according to the statute is required. I had to do 10 days in LCJ and went to court to turn myself on my birthday. (Thanks Wetter, glad it took 4 months in order to get that done.) All my original charges is what I had to plea to, nothing was dropped not one charged was less than the original with nothing but what the cops narrative of what happened. A public defender will get you the exact same plea deal.

I chose Steven Wetter as my lawyer to get a restraining order granted and he did it! The restraining order was granted thanks to him. Steven Wetter is the best lawyer you will find! I won’t get into details of my case, but I called him on a Friday after hours, he answered and told me to come in right away Monday morning. After my phone consultation I didn't feel confident with him... Especially after the gambling metaphor he used to persuade me (knowing the house always wins). I have not retained his services and am still looking. So, let me be clear... I cannot give an accurate account of his services, just my confidence in him to get me out from under an injunction. In reading these reviews... it seems he does well with literal criminal offenses but civil and traffic... Not so good!!!

In January of 2019 my girlfriend and I were involved in a minor traffic accident in Fort Myers, 2 traffic citations were issued to us. 1250 to retain him for me to pull all paper work. In 5wks he only seen my boyfriend one time. Even after leaving messages. Was late to court. Didn't have paperwork or even know anything about the case. Which was a simple Vop with lab reports showing THC levels dropping and was clean after 11 days of being released. Never cross examed the lab tech who stated new smoke takes 30- 40 days to exit body. If so why was he clean after 11 days? Never questioned why 2 different P.o. officers stated they bag the urine. Unprofessional. Not prepared to handle multi cases at one time. . What a waste.

I would just like to thank Attorney Wetter for the manner in which he handled my case. steven wetter attorney, and bianca was a life saver for me, i was looking at court with 2 DUI steven had looked over my case from a prosecutor,view and then from a criminal attorney, due to his extensive background as a prosecutor. Steven Wetter is as goods as they get!!! I got a DUI in Feb 2014 with a BAC over .25 and he was able to reduce it to reckless driving with hardship. I googled looking for an attorney in lee county to represent me in a speeding fine and found & hired steven wetters firm.Beside the attorneys fees i knew i may have to pay court expensives depending on the results based on driving record judge etc.. but never the results i got were i was order to pay almost $300 to court, plus to pay& go to a driving school, plus attorneys,fees...you don't need an attorney for this results, evry citizen that gets a fine like this can go to court pay the fine ask to go to driving school no points in your lisence after completed, you may even get reduce your fine when you pay ticket and chose to go to driving school, i will totally understand this results if i was a tenneger or a person with a horrible driving record or to many recent fines, but im none of the above..i call the attorneys office before posting this bad review to talk to the attorney and i was told this was the disposition of the hiring officer and police officer and there is nothing they can do those are the chances you take when you hire an attorney nothing is guarranty.in the very few times that i have had hire an attorney to reprent me in a traffic fine this one is the WORTH RESULTS..WILL ALL DO RESPECT AND BASE ON THIS BAD EXPERIANCE I WILL NOT RECOMEND THIS ATTORNEY TO ANY ONE..MY NAME IS( WILLIANS ARNOLD )

USELESS!! Paid $99 for a simple fine and he got me nothing in return. I had to pay $250 fine, take an 8hour driving course and of course, no service at all from their office. No questions asked about the infraction and no follow up after the trial, simply horrible.

Worthless. Hired him to get me out of an unjust traffic ticket. He never asked me anything about what happened, just apparently went to court and accepted the $250 fine and the need for me to attend traffic school on my behalf. What a waste of money!
