Could Not Ask for a Better Attorney,

I am a contractor who performed a 25k job at Alyssa's home and when It was finished, she and her husband refused the pay the balance claiming that she's an attorney and that they wouldn't pay the balance that they said i "thought" they owed me. ( a contract was signed so there's no "thought") Now, I am forced to file a mechanics lien against her property and have to wait to receive my earned payment. BE CAREFUL, NOT AN HONEST PERSON. If they decide to be fair and pay my company I will remove this review.

I contacted Mrs. Honickman regarding a legal matter, she invited me to her office. She spent a good amount of time with me and made me feel very comfortable. After our meeting, She explained that she could handle my case, but to my surprise, she referred me to someone she felt would better serve me with my legal matter and offered me to call her anytime. No pressure. I must say, not all attorneys are the same. I would refer Mrs Honickman to my friends and family. I am Happy with her referral to me. Thank you Alyssa

I have the great pleasure to have Alyssa Honickman represent me. She is a great Attorney and has continued to show me, that she is more than just my Attorney, She cares. I noticed a couple of complaints on Alyssa, What has been said, is untrue based on my experience and others. Easy to blame the person we hire to fix the problems we caused.

A few months ago I wrote a truthful and not so good review about Ms Honickman and I see it’s already been deleted. I can only assume the rest of her reviews are just as bad and have also been removed. Lisa made a million broken promises regarding my case. When the time(s) came for mediation and to go in front of the judge, she back peddled on every single thing we discussed and reminded me of an animal with their tail tucked between their legs when she was challenged by the opposing counsel. It was almost like she didn’t know what to do when they approached her.
I confronted Lisa via email(s) about all of her lies, broken promises and back peddling but she would never respond to anything in writing. Lisa wanted me to give into everything the opposing counsel requested but I stood my ground on some things and luckily I did because it worked in my favor. Lisa even hired an accountant for my case which would have worked in my favor, but again, she ended up telling lies/back peddling and never used the accountants information. So, I paid for the accountants services and never used any of her information. The accountant even schooled Lisa on a couple of things pertaining to my case and thank goodness for that because I would have looked like an idiot if I had listened to what Lisa initially said. Most of my case involved my children and the entire time I asked Lisa to work and make choices as if it were her own children she was defending. She talked a good game up until mediation and when I said “what if this were your children”, her response was “we’re not talking about my children”. She is heartless and cares only about the money. I offered to take my files to her office but she insisted that I go out of my way to meet her in the parking lot of a personal appt she had and said she would not be charging me. After meeting her in a parking lot for less than 20 seconds, my invoice now has a ridiculous charge because of it. If I could drop my file at her office for free, why would I choose to drive out of my way to get charged?!
Even after I dropped her as my attorney and made weekly payments towards my balance, Lisa continuously threatened to put a lien on my property if I did not pay her the $2k balance in full!
Hiring Lisa was one of the most costly and biggest mistakes, not to mention a huge waste of time.

In my opinion, Alyssa is the most dangerous kind of lawyers. She tells you all the great things she's going to do for you and lets you down at the last minute. She had a clear cut case to defend my position but manipulated me into settling for a far worse deal. She reneged on a flat fee deal and demanded I pay fees beyond the agreed flat fee. She is also unreliable and postponed several appointments which resulted in insufficient evidence to defend certain positions. I will be dealing with the fallout for several years.

Been such a great attorney. Ive been going through a divorce and custody battle for over a year and we finally had a final hearing where everything went great. I had a previous attorney and she wasnt as involved as Alyssa was. Alyssa was really involved in my case, as well as she genuinely had the best interest for my child. Its hard to find an attorney to represent and actually care about your case. I really recommend Alyssa as your attorney.
