Tim does a great job taking a file through the Real Estate closing process. He keeps you informed of of the status of the closing, and charges reasonable fees.

In dealing with attorneys everyday in my profession Attorney Cotter did an impeccable job closing on a building I purchased a few years ago. Only now I realize just how helpful he was. Truly worth every penny spent which wasn't much for all that he did.

Tim was recommended to us to do a closing of a complex real estate/trust closure. He met difficult deadlines, worked well with the mortgage company, gave helpful advice, and was responsive to our needs. Given that he had not met us previously and that our transaction was complicated by part of our parties being overseas for the closure in different timezones with limited time to transact, he went beyond the call of duty to respond and bring to fruition the transaction. We highly recommend his work.

I recently sold my home and wanted a real estate attorney to help me with the process. I found Mr. Cotter's name on the internet and I was glad I had his office close the transaction for me. His office was very professional. He even sat with me through the closing. I know most attorneys let their assistants handle everything, But Mr. Cotter was always available for questions. My home was my biggest asset and I was not comfortable having a title company do everything for me. I would recommend Mr. Cotter's office for anyone who wants a knowledgeable and honest attorney.

When I recently signed a contract to purchase my home, I was given Mr. Cotter's name from my real estate agent. I called around to other attorney and title companies office before I decided to use Mr. Cotter's office. I was very pleased with my decision. Both Tim and his assistant Bernice took all the stress out of my closing. They kept me informed throughout the process, and were always available if I had any questions. I was also surprised that his fees were about the same as a title companies. I would highly recommend to anyone that they use an Mr. Cotter's when buying property.

I am extremely displeased with the way that the closing on the sale of my home was handled by Timothy Cotter's office. The decision to use Timothy's office was the choice of the buyer of my home. In order to facilitate the process of the closing on our home, we used his office to prepare our paperwork for closing. Our home went under contract on July 24 and no one in the office reached out to us until September 3. This was only after our real estate agent contacted the office to inform that we had not been contacted. On top of the poor communication from the office, their lackadaisical attitude resulted in unnecessary expediting charges, which they passed onto me. We had a 60 day closing on our home and there was no need to have anything expedited. On top of this all, we received our closing documents the day before closing at 4 pm, which forced us to run around trying to get the paperwork notarized, in order to not be the party that would push the closing. I would not recommend this office in the future.

I was closing on a second home in Naples and I'm not familiar with Florida law relating to real estate. I decided to use an attorney as opposed to a title company for my closing. I am glad that I made that decision, because Tim caught a mistake on the closing documents that saved me approximately $10,000. The savings was great, but also working with Tim was a real pleasure. Unlike some attorneys he is always available for questions, he sat with me through the closing process, and helped make a complicated closing easy to understand. I recommend him unconditionally.
