I hired Mr. Pritchett to handle an extremely complicated case. He was extremely knowledgeable in the area of law. He was empathetic of my situation and was always available if I had any questions or concerns about my case. Jan made me feel that I was important and validated my concerns by educating me on the facts of my case to decrease my worries and anxiety. His retainer was reasonable and well worth the money. I really love the fact that during consultation he will let you know if he's able to assist you prior to being retained. I would highly recommend him!

Took care of my issue and answer my questions

Mr. Pritchett is obviously a very capable attorney. But having skills is really of little value if you can't trust the attorney you're paying to fight for you. I will only speak to facts.
Fact: I almost missed a court date because no one at this office bothered to call me and tell me my court date was moved up. I found out when I went to check the NC Court website. When I pointed this out, instead of an apology, I got excuses.
Fact: I have left four messages and Mr. Pritchett has not bothered to call me back. Nor has any assistant.
Fact: I get that he can't work unless I pay him. But the fee increased and no one bothered to tell me it was another $2000 and no one took responsibility for failing to communicate that increase to me. I even looked at the letter I got from this firm telling me the DA decided to indict me. Nowhere on the letter stated the fee increased. When I called to pay the balance I thought I owed, the person taking my payment did not say...oh, the amount owed is this xxx.
Fact: On the day of court to hear what the DA had to say, I saw Mr. Pritchett all of 3 minutes. He said he would call me to discuss this. No call. I'd even be ok with a call from a paralegal discussing my options.
Fact: I'm looking for another attorney. I do not care that I paid Mr. Pritchett $3000 to represent me. I do not care he got a felony reduced to a misdemeanor. I care that I paid him to represent me and he can't be bothered to explain the process, and what to expect and what the ramifications are. To him, it's no big deal because he deals with this stuff everyday. To me, it's what happens in the future? what happens if I turn down the offer? I paid him to give me time. not a lot of time. just enough time to let me understand what i'm agreeing to, or fighting. It's the principle of the matter here.
If you are someone who requires contact from your attorney, you should consider another firm.

Update: Mr. Pritchett called me back and explained all of my options. This is all I wanted to feel comfortable with his services and we got it sorted out.
