This is the absolute worst county clerk's office there is. (The Covington office) Thankfully I don't reside in kenton county. I work for a finance company and we put liens on vehicles all of the time, and anytime any of my customers need something like to put us as a pending lien holder they send them back to us and tell them they need paper work. There is no paper work until we get the title or pending lien statement from them. So when I try to call, of course they don't answer. I have literally called 20 times from my work phone and at least 15 from my cell phone. No one will answer, even if you're busy a simple pick up and at least put me on hold would be nice but no if they do pick up they hang up. And in the past when I've tried to call and get file numbers or dates for titles they tell me that they're not gonna do my homework for me and I need to figure it out. I explained that we never recieved the lien statement so I don't have the information and that's when the lady told me its bc I probably only sent one copy of the lien statement to them when we need to send at least 2 or a carbon copy and it's not their job to make a copy and send it back to us. But any other county I call or visit never gives me or my customers any problems. Over all they are very rude and hateful and shouldn't work with the public. I would give zero stars if I could.

I would give them Zero if it let me. As a citizen of Kenton county WE deserve better!! I called them repeatedly & left several messages that they will not return, fairly useless, self serving, government so called "servants".

Great atmosphere friendly people I always feel welcomed

This is the worst DMV I’ve ever been to. They kept telling my husband that they were really busy and to come back in January. They do not like doing their jobs. They never return phone calls. I had 2 people tell me 2 different things.

Just wondering if they hire minority’s? Equal opportunity employment?

They hang up on you if you every get someone on the phone. They want you to pay taxes for cars that don't exist and they don't care about you. It's just an extortion machine.

Seldom answers phone & never returns call after I leave a message

Literally cannot get them to answer a phone call. Typical government stuff.

Worst experience in 40 years. Went to transfer a car title and got a new story and set of needed documents 4 times, still couldn't do it. I ended up going to Boone Co and they transferred it no problem on the first visit. The ladies at Kenton Co need to be fired for their rude remarks and just plain laziness. Too lazy to get up out of their chair so they tell you to bring back more unnecessary documents so they don't have to do their job.

This place never answers their phone and then the voicemail says to leave a message and they will call you back, but you know what, that doesn’t happen either. Through my own personal experiences.. Also I have found out that if you keep calling and calling repeatedly someone will pick up. It took me about 11 calls before i got through, no holding or anything straight to a person. So that clearly shows they don’t answer the phone intentionally. I guess after so many call they couldn’t tolerate the phone ringing anymore and finally picked up. Super frustrating when all’s you have is a simple question. I will be filing my concerns with regarding this issues through the BBB’s website. Only reason I gave a two is because the lady that took care of me last time was super sweet.

STAFFERS LEAVE EARLY AND ARE SUPER RUDE

They left early, so I took a time stamped photo of their door so explain why I could not file stuff today. The security guy said they were all late getting in today as well. Also, they are very short and rude with you. Last time I was there, I asked for a piece of tape and they said they weren't a charity and I could go to the store buy a roll if I really needed it... They could have said no, and I would have been fine. I would honestly be surprised if they let you borrow a pen. I wish I could go to a different clerk of courts, but I am forced to go to Kenton County. In the future, I will never buy a home in Kenton County. I never had a problem in Clermont County in all the 24 years I lived there.

I come here every year to renew my plates. It's on the way to work and by going first thing in the morning, I am in and out.

My best experience was when I went too register a new vehicle. I was a couple days beyond 60 on my proof of insurance (out of state purchase that took forever to process). They let me call my agent and get a new one faxed over at the end of the day. It was so great and they were so helpful.

Does anybody ever answer the phone? have called 4 times and no one answers......Oh wait I forgot this was a government office, and they close at 4, so why would any body answer at 3:45??? Frustrating

I called the Kenton county family court to ask a simple question regarding getting my case number and the swine that answered the phone felt the need to be extremely rude, sarcastic and condescending. It seems like a common characteristic between these low lives involved in the family court department.
