They are friendly and very helpful

This firm helped my ex fiance violate state law by issuing an illegitimate restraining order in retaliation to a mandatory child abuse report filed against her of which I have proof. In the state of Tennessee, child abuse reports are mandatory and it is illegal to retaliate against. I have not seen my son in over 2 years because of these attorneys, who are guilty of parental alienation which is a form of psycological child abuse. The Judge and attorneys all refused to review the first piece of evidence and wouldnt even allow me to be present. They have severely and irreversibly damaged my only son, who I miss immensely. This has apparently, to my understanding, become an office joke to them.

No one calls you back, every time you talk to someone they promise to look into it and it feels like a nice of saying we don’t want to be bothered with your issues. Very disappointed so far!

I went there to get some legal advice. The lady working the front said they only take appointments and advise me to fill out a application and someone will be getting in touch with me about my case before the court date. I never received a call at all.

Apparently, they only help women.

Sarah at Legal Aid was great. She kept me informed of everything going on. They were able to help me over the phone and sent me the necessary paperwork and instructions what I needed to. Great people work here and treat you with dignity.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND LEGAL AID IN DOWNTOWN CHATTANOOGA. They were not useful and did not know what they were talking about. They made me miss my appeal date by not telling me the deadline and lied to my face. Looks can be deceiving because they sure as hell dont deserve to be in business. Seems like they just started studying law. And front desk DO NOT answer or return calls and seem like she just don't like her job at all. Nathan Webb returned my call every time but seem like he was a freshman in the law business. Overall, it was a terrible experience.

I am a stay-at-home mother and I needed help with legal assistance and they told me they couldn't help me I do not recommend them they suck I'm sorry

They are free public lawyers. The situation i was in could not be solved easily, so they gave what advice they had. The people in office were not very pleasant. There was not an atmosphere of we want to help, but more of your bothering us. I don't know what help they really give, but not a place to turn too.

A horrible experience. I went with my mother for a financial issue and not only was the “attorney” no help at all, he actually got angry with us. If you are not of a certain demographic they obviously don’t care.

Useless. They do not follow up on cases. I had to do all the work myself. I do not understand who they help at all.

Great help to get my power of attorney.

I was getting sued for a bill I had paid. The company even got money from my check. Legal Aid stepped in & handled it. I felt scared bc I didnt know if they would take the case. I would donate $ for this cause, for sure
