I recently did a background check on myself and found that I had unresolved charges against me from 15 years ago!! I am from out of state and the first attorney I called was Mr. Steve Owens. very unprofessional. we didnt even hire him because he wanted to charge $5000 to file a motion. granted the case was in a different county but he lied about knowing people or representing others in the same jail. his “assistant” would call and text all day AND NIGHT about sending money when we never actually agreed to hire them. once they figured we weren’t sending them anything we got cussed out and told to get a public defender.

As a former Deputy U.S. Marshal I had the opportunity to see Mr. Owens practice law. After having seen Mr. Owens present his cases in numerous trials in federal court over the years I knew exactly who I would go to for legal services when I required it. I can highly recommend Mr. Owens for excellent legal guidance. Professional, caring, and fast resolution of my legal matters, and backed up with top notch friendly staff.

I tell you one thing he kicked ass for me and my wife accomplishing something that the courts said never happens I’m more than satisfied with the service I received Steve gets the job done effectively and efficiently thumbs up from me!!!

Do not pay this man money. Steve and Shannon will tell you whatever you want to hear, make promises, and never follow through on any of them. He will take your money, do nothing, and never hear from them again. They will also talk about you and your case in front of other clients. I ask the man to finish up my custody and child support on a divorce already finished. He took $2,500 and I heard more about a murder trial than I did about my own situation. These are not people you want representing you. Needless to say neither my custody or child support issues were addressed. Just look at his review from TN when you google him. He’s from VA, there’s a reason he practices in Pikeville KY.

If you want to hire a lawyer that gets the job done Mr. Steve Owens is the guy, he gets the job done quickly and very affordable. He is a done to earth attorney and a very respectful and listen to you. Call him today if you need a great attorney you won’t be disappointed.

Paid him a $500 fee, $200 for the paperwork and $300 in case he had to go to court. Never went to court but yet felt he was entitled to keep the full $500. They stated that we "agreed" for him to keep the full amount since he did so much paperwork, which isn't true. He handed our case over to another lawyer without telling us. We paid that lawyer another $500 and couldn't get in contact with him. Weeks after, he called to inform us he wasn't up to the work and we are still trying to get a hold of him for a refund. Stephen and his buddy took our money and we have nothing to show for it. Have a fun time golfing on us and we will be filing paperwork against them. It's amazing how people can profit off of others misery. Love to see the BS reply, if any, they will give to this review.

He and his secratary are wonderful! They are available 24/7 and call you back if they miss your call. His secratary is nice as can be! They work with you on paying them! He gets problems solved fast!
