Mr Beardsley, in my opinion is probably the best lawyer residing in Floyd county. I had him as a defense attorney in 1997. Before he took me on as a client, I had a public defender and I sidndi know my rights at all. I was in court at 21 years of age and getting ready to sign a plea agreement to serve 12 years, 6 if things went good. The judge denied the prosecution's advised sentence of 5 years out of what I felt was retaliation Because I wasn't forthcoming about anything concerning what I was being charged with. All I knew is that an informant had gained my trust by posing as a construction contractor looking for local employees and I fell for the whole thing. I didn't know what testimony or evidence they had against me and I didn't know I could even request to shown these things. Out of flat desperation, I asked Mr beardsley some questions about my rights and answered some questions he put to me. Within a small amount of time he told me he knew my family and gave his personal and professional opinion about my case. Even though I had no money for a retainer, he took my case,fired the other guy and made demands to see my case file and motioned for revelation of the evidence. I walked out of that courtroom I had walked into to sign away my freedom with a whole new perspective and the revelation about what the judicial system is all about. End the end I still served, as I had expected to, but on much better terms and with the satisfaction of Mr beardsley putting all of the court and it's personnel immoral and underhanded practices on display for the public to see. It also changed my life for the better. If I didn't share my story with some people from time to time, they'd never know that kid was me. I have Steven to thank for that in part because he showed me and advised me on life lessons that no one else cared enough to do and he definitely didn't make much by helping me either, yet he did. I'm not the only person he's been there for. He doesn't cover criminal law exclusive either, that's just part of his work. Call him first before you make any lasting decisions, I implore you.

Mr Beardsley represented my husband several years ago. I phoned him with a situation recently. After his call I was able to take my husband home. Released on OR! A lot of praying and an attorney that cares about his clients! ♡
