I had the annoying experience of my rental landlord unjustly withholding my security deposit. Fortunately, I was referred to Canor Pato, a terrific and personable lawyer in Miami. Canor efficiently elicited the pertinent facts surrounding my case and then drafted a powerful ‘Demand Letter’ to the landlord. While I was confident that the landlord would cave in and return my money, Canor nonetheless prepared me for a potential court appearance. Fortunately, I received my security back withhold having to go to court, but I was ready for a trial given Canor’s support and guidance. I recommend him highly!

I had a serious car accident with total loss plus a broken arm and thumb and a lower back hernia. I tried managing the case myself at the beginning, avoiding layers because of the myth that lawyers can be a pain and expensive, yet the reality is quite different. The other driver's insurance told me they were not going to pay a dime eventhough their client was at fault, then I contacted my insurance and they said that they could only cover 70% of my Med Bill's and 0 for my car loss and had to pay the 20% out of pocket plus my deductible.... The worst part of all, was that I had to manage my own case since my insurance was incapable of handling the negotiation with the driver's at fault insurance company. This was consuming a lot of my time, I needed to work and besides I was injured and in pain.
At that point I decided to search for a GOOD lawyer. Fortunately, my mother met Canor a year before my accident by referral and she recommended me to call him as she was also a very satisfied customer.

Again, best decision I've made. Canor is a great professional and the best thing is that he personally handled my case; I didn't had to go through secretaries or assistants...He was able to take my calls if he was available if not we would schedule a call. He answered my email in less than 8hrs and he handled every for me, from delaying with the driver's at fault insurance, my insurance, Med Bill's and he even help me get into physical therapy with a very good Doctor as I needed therapy for my back injury and arm.

Today my case is closed, I didn't paid a dime out of pocket, I didn't had to handle anything myself, Canor got the other driver's at fault insurance to pay for everything and mora to cover the pain and time I've lost (I could work for weeks) because of this accident that cost me a lifetime back injury.

If there was something lower than one star, I probably would have chosen it, I just don't have the option.

Canor Pato is a HORRIBLE attorney who I'm shocked is still practicing. My disabled father retained him for a number of different hearings surrounding a domestic violence / child custody case and he did the very least while charging the very most. I wouldn't put it passed him to have even gone as far as to suggest new avenues for OPPOSING council to pursue. His assistant Alejandro is the only one that seems remotely competent and if you hire Canor you'll most likely be doing most of your communication with his assistant rather than your actual attorney. Your "retainer" means absolutely nothing, and if you happen to be going through a tough breakup like my father, he is DEFINITELY NOT THE ATTORNEY FOR YOU!!! Or anyone else for that matter. He will constantly pester and harass you for more money than agreed upon amount, for him doing absolutely nothing. In the time we were working with him, he filed motions to withdraw from our case. TWICE! The last motion was LITERALLY a few days from going to court for what we hired him for! Yes that's right! You read correctly! Canor Pato will file a motion citing irreconcilable differences and he will drop you flat RIGHT BEFORE he is supposed to appear in court for what you hired him for. He's seldom reachable, but your guaranteed not the reach him after 2pm... and weekends?! Forget it! Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this scam artist. He'll do the very least, claim he's ready for trial when In all actuality has every intention of convincing you to settle with opposing council and has no intentions of really fighting for what's in the best interest (in this case) of the minor child. I actually witnessed this man ask another attorney what wording he should use to write out a motion! Like a student! You'll be doing his job most of the time and if you call him on it? Again, the conversation will change to the subject of money. This man charged us for reading OUR emails! His clients emails relaying information about the case. In a way that's understandable but it's the way in which he said it. He is very unprofessional, talks a big game, but is really out of his depth when it comes to EVERY aspect of the law. He will humiliate you as a client, and last but not least, he will collect money from you and not do the job you pay him for! He will impose his own opinion and will although you explained clearly the route you wanted to pursue when retaining him. Beware! Hire at your own risk! WORST FAMILY ATTORNEY I've ever seen! Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Canor Pato and the "CP" law firm. I should've known he didn't play well with others and wasn't a team player after finding out he's the only lawyer in his firm! Laughable... he probably doesn't even know the definition of "fiduciary obligation." Hopefully this review saves someone from being swindled and being taken advantage of like my father was.

Mr. Canor Pato, ( Yes, Duck is his English name) was hire to represent my father in a Car accident Claim. Despite the fact that the Injury did not involve an ambulance visit or major broken bones or body parts, the dishonest son of a Gun wasted my fathers time with a bunch of unnecessary treatments with the group of corrupted Doctors he recommends you visit. Once Canor get his money from his Buddies under the table he just simply drops out of the case and tells you that you had no claim to begin with. Part of the reason United Auto refuse to pay much to my father for his car accident is because the claim Adjuster said Canor and Attorney Alejandro Gutierrez are straight up crooks that like to waste people time with a bunch of unnecessary and excessive treatments. Don't be the next victim, Don't missed over 45 days of work to attend treatments that only benefits his Doctor Friends and the share of the money he gets under the table.
