In February 2018 I collided with a car while commuting to work on my bicycle. The driver left the scene without exchanging details. I was left with a badly broken wrist, broken ribs, and bruised kidneys.
John Griffith took my case on a contingent fee basis and was successful in making a claim on my auto insurance (uninsured motorist cover). I was not even aware that this was an option. John Griffith and Kirby White were highly professional and compassionate, and were able to present evidence to the insurer and negotiate on my behalf. This allowed me to focus on recovery and not worry about having to deal with insurance claims adjusters. I would not have pursued the claim and reached a successful conclusion without their help.

My son was driving a tractor and when he crossed the road to enter the driveway of the barn, a car hit him from the back and threw him off the tractor. I suffered a fractured neck in December of 2016, and John and his team helped me with dealing with the insurance companies and their legal team. The way I figured was if they had attorneys working for them and fighting for them to keep their money, why don't I have one fighting on my behalf. We were rear-ended while sitting at a stoplight. I had no warning - it was like a bomb went off in the car. The person driving the car that hit me was an 83-year-old man, who didn't seem to know where he was. My wife and I were taken to the Williamson ER and released with no apparent obvious injuries. I thought I was doing okay, but three weeks later I developed major problems with walking - I could not control my legs. I knew this was a very serious turn of events and went back to the ER. A MRI revealed large bilateral sub-dural hematomas, which affected my speech as well as walking. That evening I was transferred to Vanderbilt, where I was admitted to the Neurology ICU. Four holes were drilled through my skull to allow placement of drainage tubes. I was released four days later and was cleared for driving five weeks later. I knew I needed legal advice to handle the complexities of my injuries. A friend at church recommended Griffith Law, who we saw in a few days. I was very satisfied with their help. They took care of everything and coordinated medical and insurance claims - my bill at Vanderbilt was over $70K. They dealt effectively with the other party's insurance and allowed me to answer inquiries concerning the late appearance of of these symptoms (my pre-retirement career was as a neuroscientist in the Surgery Department of the University of Cincinnati). After about one year the offending party's insurance offered what I considered a fair settlement. The lawyers at Griffith Law were always respectful and educated my wife and I concerning the legal jungle. We are very pleased with their efforts in reaching a fair settlement and recommend them to anyone seeking legal help.

My only regret is that I tried to work with the insurance company for 8 months before I called John. I should have called him immediately and not wasted my time. I had shoulder surgery because of a rollover crash and my doctor says it will likely affect me for the rest of my life. It still bothers me.
